Just finished
--thought it was good! Like having another Ward series in Caldwell...Also just finished
--first ebook I read on my new Kindle 2 :-) Enjoyed it as well!Next, I think I'll refresh myself on the Fever series, then read
.

I will!
I'm reading The Dragon Book, an anthology of short stories about, well, dragons in various times and places.Last was Need, which was mostly not special, except the heroine's commitment to Amnesty International...
I finally had enough and had to put
aside for a while. I only made it to page 127. It's just too boring. Decided to read
. I'm liking it so far. I've read more pages of Eve of Darkness in two days then I did of Nightwalker in two weeks.

. It had a lot of super-secret agent intrigue to go with all the paranormal goodies!
Wow!! I just finished
and LOVED it!! I could not put the book down!! What a great new author! Very interesting take on vampires and hot, hot, hot romance!! If you are looking for a new author to try Tracey O'Hara is it!! Very strong female heroine and intense and thrilling story!! I'm reading
next.
Grrr! I just finished
and want to scream! This has to be the most terrible cliffhanger in literary history!!! (hyperbole) But seriously.

LOL Summer--it was a doozy, huh? I reread those last few pages over and over, trying to make sense of it.
Here's a thread on a KMM board where we have been talking about out theories. :)

Great thread! Thanks for the link!
I finished and mostly enjoyed The Dragon Book. I couldn't get Soulless or Dhampir from the library. I need to look for them at a used bookstore, but I'm afraid what else I'll find! I'm rereading Storm Front and loving it.
I just started
[image error]
this afternoon. I'm only into the second chapter, but it seem like it could be good. Has anyone else read it?
Just finished the 4th Vampire Academy book, Blood Promise...Some mixed feelings on that one. Not sure what I'm going to do next. I've got quite a few TBR's laying around, but, hmm...
I've been picking up
, but for some reason I really can't get into it, which is unfortunate, considering it's such a popular book.I also picked up Devon Monk's new book
, but haven't gotten into it yet...
Shannon wrote: "I really enjoyed the Devon Monk books. I have the third one but I haven't started yet."I started Magic to the Bone back in November, but just couldn't get into it. I'm planning on giving it another try, just don't know when.
I finished Biting The Bullet (Jaz Parks #3). Liked it a lot. Also read Tuna Fish Gourmet. A small cookbook of tuna recipes. Nothing new. Am going to read Eat This Not That next. Not fantasy, but I need some positive reinforcement. I have been getting crazy with chocolate lately. Not good for a diabetic.
Currently reading the Sign of the Zodiac series. I like it alot. Just wanted to say hi in here as well. I go back and forth between paranormal romance, paranormal erotica and straight urban fantasy. I did just read Spellbent by Lucy Snyder and all I can say is wow. That book blew me away. It has everything in it.
I finished Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men and absolutely loved it! Another hilarious paranormal romance from Molly Harper!! I'm now reading

yesterday. Really liked it! Will start #2 when I finish the other book I'm reading.
Shannon,What did you think of The Parable of the Sower?
I'm almost done with Storm Front for the third time, it turns out. I obviously love it. I just picked up Princess Academy, Hush Hush and Look Me in the Eye from the library. And I bought at a used bookstore Dhampir, City of a Thousand Suns, Son of a Witch, Tigerheart and The Vintner's Luck.
I finished reading Eat This Not That and really recommend it. Helps you make good choices in eating. I am reading Living Oprah by Robin Okrant. I am loving it so far.

HUSH, HUSH ended up being a disappointment to me. Hope you like it better.
I just finished Ecstasy by Jacquelyn Frank. It started out a little slow but picked up in the middle. All in all it turned out to be a pretty good read. I'm now reading

--Hi, Anne. Sorry for the late reply. Quite a few. Some that stood out were Karen Chance and JA Conrath.
I'm reading
. It took me a while to get into it (I don't read too many books that are parodies-so it threw me at first), but I'm loving it now. Very good worldbuilding.
I started listening to
this morning on my way to work, I finished
yesterday and loved it.And I am going to start reading
tonight--I was holding off on it since my copy of
won't be here til the 20th and I wanted to read them back to back, but Midnight's Daughter is due back to the library on Wed and I can't renew it as there are holds. :(But I did read the prequel Buying Trouble last night and loved it-it was really good for a short story.
I finished reading Living Oprah. I am starting Bitten to Death (Jaz #4). I am getting out of town company in an hour or so, and she won't be leaving till tomorrow night. So I won't get much done till then.
Karen Chance, getting some love. I adore that lady. Whoo hoo!I'm on Ilona Andrews' Magic Burns and, wow, what an improvement from the first book in terms of pacing and delivering world-building info. Magic Bites dragged. This one has me cracking up.

Ilona Andrews, getting some love. Whoo hoo! LOL :)
I told you it would get better, just wait til the next book, I had as many LOL moments in that one as I had in Curse the Dawn.
You makin' fun o'me? Huh, huh?:p
I rolled on the floor for Curse the Dawn (Lord Mircea's favorite couch? What's bizarre is that I have a vagina?), but I'm laughing quite a bit with Magic Burns.
I'm really enjoying her dynamic with Julie.
You were right--I now understand the love. You may continue to toot thy own horn.

One of my faves in a book ever, but let me add to it a bit, I think the formal-ness made it even funnier.
"No Miss Palmer, what's bizarre is that I currently have a vagina."
I also loved the "I'll have to let Pritkin know he has a pretty..." Literal LOL moments. :)
I remember a LOL moment in Magic Burns in a weight room...and one of my fave quotes from that one is--
"I wouldn't want his demonic, undead-blood-smeared, wolf-smelling ass riding me either."
Lol! I'm thinking that quote will come soon since they're just fighting the reeves now.The formality of it DID increase the LOL factor, you're right. God, that woman is good.
I am reading Greywalker. Did anyone else have trouble getting into this book? This is my second time around with this book and I still can't seem to get into it. Maybe it's me. =(
I did ok with Greywalker. I pushed through it, but I had a really hard time with the 2nd book in the series. I haven't read one since.
Kristie wrote: "I am reading Greywalker. Did anyone else have trouble getting into this book? This is my second time around with this book and I still can't seem to get into it. Maybe it's me. =( "
I had a hard time with it, too. I had to put it down several times, because I got sick of reading about her...well, getting sick. lol Poltergeist is better.
Anne wrote: "Kristie wrote: "I am reading Greywalker. Did anyone else have trouble getting into this book? This is my second time around with this book and I still can't seem to get into it. May..."
LOL. Exactly! In the first book Harper is utterly annoying. She feels sick throughout the whole book and, for some bizarre reason, she thinks it's a good idea to let us know exactly how sick she feels, with a lot of details. She's also quite stubborn about accepting her ability. Even when reality is looking her in the eye and saying "either you accept this or you and everyone you love will die. Gruesomely!" she's still refuses.
*sigh* It's a shame really because the concept is not half bad. If the first book wouldn't have so many flaws a lot of people would have given the series a second chance.
Anyway, Poltergeist is better but still not great. Now, in book 3 and 4 she's already OK with the idea of being a greywalker and so, these stories are much more fun. 3 and 4 are definitely good stuff.

LOL! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought she went into too much detail about her 'vertigo'. The concept is really very cool. If it gets better I might pick up the series again.
I just started [image error] . Looks kinda thick...
I finished
last night. It was really good. I was a little nervous about the religious aspect, but while it was a major part of the story it wasn't overpowering & I didn't mind it at all. I also got the other two books in the series from Paperback Swap yesterday. Started
this morning because the second book in that series is on it way from Paperback Swap.

Well I moved on...it's not for me. But I just started
[image error] byJulie Compton. I am in love with this book. EVERYONE needs to put this on their to-reads-list. AMAZING.
