Also just finished

Next, I think I'll refresh myself on the Fever series, then read

i have wanted this..."
I will!

Last was Need, which was mostly not special, except the heroine's commitment to Amnesty International...

I loved

But seriously.

LOL Summer--it was a doozy, huh? I reread those last few pages over and over, trying to make sense of it.
Here's a thread on a KMM board where we have been talking about out theories. :)

Great thread! Thanks for the link!

Not sure what I'm going to do next. I've got quite a few TBR's laying around, but, hmm...
I've been picking up

I also picked up Devon Monk's new book

I started Magic to the Bone back in November, but just couldn't get into it. I'm planning on giving it another try, just don't know when.

I just finished

What did you think of The Parable of the Sower?
I'm almost done with Storm Front for the third time, it turns out. I obviously love it. I just picked up Princess Academy, Hush Hush and Look Me in the Eye from the library. And I bought at a used bookstore Dhampir, City of a Thousand Suns, Son of a Witch, Tigerheart and The Vintner's Luck.

HUSH, HUSH ended up being a disappointment to me. Hope you like it better.

--Hi, Anne. Sorry for the late reply. Quite a few. Some that stood out were Karen Chance and JA Conrath.

And I am going to start reading

But I did read the prequel Buying Trouble last night and loved it-it was really good for a short story.

I'm on Ilona Andrews' Magic Burns and, wow, what an improvement from the first book in terms of pacing and delivering world-building info. Magic Bites dragged. This one has me cracking up.

Ilona Andrews, getting some love. Whoo hoo! LOL :)
I told you it would get better, just wait til the next book, I had as many LOL moments in that one as I had in Curse the Dawn.

:p
I rolled on the floor for Curse the Dawn (Lord Mircea's favorite couch? What's bizarre is that I have a vagina?), but I'm laughing quite a bit with Magic Burns.
I'm really enjoying her dynamic with Julie.
You were right--I now understand the love. You may continue to toot thy own horn.

One of my faves in a book ever, but let me add to it a bit, I think the formal-ness made it even funnier.
"No Miss Palmer, what's bizarre is that I currently have a vagina."
I also loved the "I'll have to let Pritkin know he has a pretty..." Literal LOL moments. :)
I remember a LOL moment in Magic Burns in a weight room...and one of my fave quotes from that one is--
"I wouldn't want his demonic, undead-blood-smeared, wolf-smelling ass riding me either."

The formality of it DID increase the LOL factor, you're right. God, that woman is good.

Did anyone else have trouble getting into this book? This is my second time around with this book and I still can't seem to get into it. Maybe it's me. =(

I had a hard time with it, too. I had to put it down several times, because I got sick of reading about her...well, getting sick. lol Poltergeist is better.

LOL. Exactly! In the first book Harper is utterly annoying. She feels sick throughout the whole book and, for some bizarre reason, she thinks it's a good idea to let us know exactly how sick she feels, with a lot of details. She's also quite stubborn about accepting her ability. Even when reality is looking her in the eye and saying "either you accept this or you and everyone you love will die. Gruesomely!" she's still refuses.
*sigh* It's a shame really because the concept is not half bad. If the first book wouldn't have so many flaws a lot of people would have given the series a second chance.
Anyway, Poltergeist is better but still not great. Now, in book 3 and 4 she's already OK with the idea of being a greywalker and so, these stories are much more fun. 3 and 4 are definitely good stuff.

LOL! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought she went into too much detail about her 'vertigo'. The concept is really very cool. If it gets better I might pick up the series again.
I just started [image error] . Looks kinda thick...

Well I moved on...it's not for me. But I just started
