Hannibal
question
Why did Hannibal Lector think psychology was not a science?

I often wondered about this. Its been a while since I read the book. Can anyone share on what I missed out?
My understanding of psychology is that it's almost completely conceptual while psychiatry is also medical. Crawford mentioned repeatedly that Lector was an intellectual elitist and psychologists don't go through medical school.
He doesn't think much of the science of census taking, either ;)
Even a lot of psychologists don't consider it a strict science. I wasn't surprised he thought that way.
