     hmmm, doesn't sound right. That book sounds awesome though! The book I'm thinking of was set entirely in Ancient Egypt as I recall, during the time when the pyramids were being built (probably). I do think the author was female...

 You know what, this might have been it! I checked back in my book list (I'm such a nerd, in 6th grade I started writing down everything I read, but hey, it comes in handy), and I did read this one. I'm going to see if I can find a copy!
