Jordan smiled "why don't you take a nap? I'll get you a cookie." He went to the kitchen before she could answer.

Rae yawned as she waited for him.
He bright back a cookie and a mug of milk. "here." He gave them to her.
She took them with a smile. "Thank you." Rae said.
"no problem." He sat next to her.
She eats the cookie then downs the milk.
He rose an eyebrow "want more?"
Rae shook her head. "No." she said, wiping her mouth.
Jordan nodded. "alright then just nap." Hr murmured.
He took it and stood up, turning to leave the room.
Rae lied down closing her eyes and falling asleep.
He smiled softly then went to the kitchen, putting the mug in the sink.
Rae shot up with a slight scream. She was crying and shaking. Just a bad dream. She told herself.
Jordan ran into the room "Rae?! What's wrong!?" He saw she was crying and went to her, sitting next to her and pulled her into his arms "hey, its alright. You're alright."
Rae buried her face in his chest. Shaking still. She didn't realize her hands were clenching his shirt.
He held her tightly "Rae..." He murmured, slightly surprised. He'd never seen her like this. "what happened?" He asked gently.
Rae took some deep breaths before she told him her dream. Her voice cracking at regular intervals. Rae kept her face buried in his chest, so her words were slightly muffled.
"oh Rae... I'm sorry." He kissed her forehead out of instinct. "luckily it was just a dream." He murmured against her skin.
Rae nodded. Secretly liking it when he kissed her forehead.
"do you want to go back to sleep?" He asked softly.
Rae shakes her head. She was too awake to go back to sleep
He nodded "alright. Then do you want some dinner. My mom is making lasagna." He smiled at her softly.
Rae nodded. Pulling back a bit and wiping her eyes.
He ruffled her hair lightly "come on." He stood
Rae smiled and stood up with him.
He less her to the kitchen "is dinner almost ready?" He asked his mother. She was shorter then him but still about s tall as Rae. "yes sweety, just about twenty more minutes." See turned to look at him and her eyes lit up when s there saw Rae "oh! You're awake!" She smiled "I'm so glad you could stay for dinner."
"er mom... Actually, she's staying the night." Jordan confessed sheepishly "her parents are fighting and i rammed get to get some decent sleep, so..."
His mother sighed "why didn't you tell me that earlier? Do her parents know?"
"well..."
"Jordan!" His mother scolded "now, you know i don't mind her staying but you have to at least tell her parents." She sighed again "Rae, please forgive my son's thoughtless actions." She smiled warmly. "could you help me set the table?"
"I'll do it." Jordan said. "Rae, just go sit and relax." He went to set the table.
Rae watched them then nodding. Acknowledging what Jordan said. She went and sat on their sofa.
When Jordan was done he hoped onto the couch beside her "so how are you feeling?"
"Okay." she said. "Its too quiet." Rae admitted.
"i could turn on three TV if you want?" He grabbed the remote.
"No. Its alright. Just not used to it." she said.
Jordan nodded, putting the remote back. "so, what's on your mind?" He asked.
Rae sighed. "Nothing." she said honestly.
He nodded. "well is there anything you need? You know, to feel more comfortable tonight?"
"No, but thank you." she said.
He smiled "alright, but don't be afraid to ask for anything." He told her. "dinners ready." Jordan's mom said.
"okay." He got up. "come on." He smiled at her.
She nodded and then stood up.
He sat at the table, his mother putting good sized slices of lasagna on alp of their plates "Rae, honey, don't be afraid to ask for more." His mother told her.
Rae smiled. "Thank you." she said.
Jordan smiled, glad to see Rae finally cheer up. He ate his dinner quietly."do, Jordan... I got a call from your school." His mother said casually, though she looked at him with snake like eyes, staring down their prey.
Jordan froze "oh... Really? What did they say?" He asked, playing dumb, though his eyes were glued to his plate.
Rae picked at her food when his mother brought up school. She started to feel guilty all over again.
"you weren't there... All. Day." She said.Jordan but his lip "I'm sorry... We were only suppose to be gone for first period but i feel asleep..." He looked up. "it really was an accident." He was taking full responsibility.
She sighed "Jordan... You have to go to school, why did you try to skip in the first place?"
"Me." Rae said softly, not looking up.
Jordan looked at her "no, Rae i told you its not your fault i-""Jordan." His mother cut him off. She looked at Rae "what do you mean sweety?" She asked softly.
Rae pushed her food around her plate for a moment before explaining. "We met at school like always and I was tired because I was up all night. We decided to skip first period but I ended up falling asleep. Before we knew it, it was 1:30."
"oh..." Jordan's mother nodded."that still makes it my fault though! I made her skip." Jordan said.
Rae couldn't do it anymore. She got up and walked outside. It was her fault, she bugged him with her problems, she's the reason he even suggested skipping.
Jordan started to get up to go after her."sit down. I'll get her." His mother told him, getting up calmly and walking after her. When she found Rae she smiled softly. "honey, please come inside?"
Rae bit her lip and wiped away tears then nodded slowly.
