If you could have Nora write just one more book to an existing series, which one would you choose and why (whose story)?

For standalone titles, which would you choose to possibly be expanded into a series and why?

The first one that popped into my mind was The Witness. There's so much still incomplete for me!

Julia (juliace) Call me crazy, but I would love to see a spin off of the "In The Garden" series - I would love to see David get his own love story I LOVED David in this series.

You're right! He didn't get a HEA.

Ruth (oofie) | 5 comments I've not read enough to know. I'm realitively new to Nora, although I already can see she is one of my favorite authors. Did any of you feel that early on when " discovering her"?

Chesapeake Bay! I would love to get Aubrey's story, and the continuation of the Quinns.

Quynh (quynh_o) | 218 comments Oh yes! Aubrey's story would be great.

I know Public Secrets was long but we needed one more book, at least, for more of Emma's romance. Plus, there was more to Brian's new life, too.

When I read my first NR book, Irish Thoroughbred (Irish Hearts, #1) by Nora Roberts (in the 80's I think), I knew she would be #1 with me.

My first standalone was Montana Sky Montana Sky by Nora Roberts and I knew immediately. My first series was the Gallaghers of Ardmore and I knew I was in love:) Hooked for life.

Speaking of which, a follow up to Montana Sky would be GREAT! There were three romances in that one.

message 13: by Quynh (new)

Quynh (quynh_o) | 218 comments Irish Thoroughbred was my first NR too! Montana Sky and Time Was/Time Change were the earlier NR that I read. Then I went into some of her series. I think I was hooked fast after 2-3 books.

It didn't take long! I went on a Nora binge for the next month:)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 213 comments After I first read a couple of her books, I think I binged for months. I went after everything I could find by Nora Roberts and read them and then reread them.

Wow! I completely understand how you could do that.

message 17: by Quynh (new)

Quynh (quynh_o) | 218 comments Yea I binged as well! I even put holds on all the books the library had of hers. Then eventually I got my own copies so I could read whenever I wanted.

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 213 comments I picked up a lot of them in used book stores very cheap. I don't remember the first one I read but I did love Irish Thoroughbred and Irish Rebel and reread them as recently as about a month ago. Such sweet, innocent love stories but so good with all the banter between H/h and all.

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 213 comments Nora's books are like an old warm, fuzzy blanket or your favorite pj's...they just "fit" and you can count on them to always be worth the time to read and then reread when you need a break from all the angst and even the over the top too much sex books. I like my romance mixed with love and caring between the characters.

message 20: by Quynh (new)

Quynh (quynh_o) | 218 comments Exactly Sandra! Her books are very comforting. I never fail to enjoy them even if I read them more than few times already.

message 21: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 213 comments I reread one sometimes when I just can't decide which of my massive tbr list to choose next and I just need a break. There's another one - a short one that I love to read once in awhile about...Brand and Raven, both singers with a past history. Once More With Feeling - great little love story with the perfect amount of banter, sexual tension, and build up to the end. Nora has so many of those that are quick but great reads.

Quynh (quynh_o) | 218 comments I still have some of her backlist that I don't own yet so it's good she's reprinting some of them!

message 23: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 213 comments Gosh...she/they have reprinted lots of them. I am forever picking a new looking NR book up in a bookstore or even Walmart and thinking "I know I read this a long time ago" and it's the reprinted books. According to her book list, I have them all.

message 24: by Quynh (new)

Quynh (quynh_o) | 218 comments I'll have to do an inventory of all my books and compare. That'll be a project when holiday comes.
