How are your challenges coming along?
I'm done, and now I'm taking it easy. But then July is close and off we'll go with another challenge. I've noticed that as I read more (and I do read more, thanks to this group), time passes faster. I'm not sure I like that... But I'm ranting, sorry.

3. Read a book whose author, setting or character is from Florida. (Suggestions for this category is welcome on this thread.)
4. Wedding Theme: Read a book that has one of the following words in its title (Wedding, Marriage, Proposal, Bride, Groom, Engagement) or has a Wedding theme cover.
5. Summer's Solstice: Read a book that has witch/es or wizard/s in it.

7. Royalty theme: Read a book that has one of the following words in its title (King, Queen, Lord, Earl, Duke, or any other royal title)
8. Read a book that has, this time, no "human" profile at all in the cover. Please post cover for verification..LOL
9. Read a book written by an author that is "new" to you, meaning you have never read any of his/her work.
10. Reader's Choice or if you joined the Pick-It-For-Me Challenge, your recommended book

Okay, so I'm stretching things just a touch to make these fit. But Lonely Hearts was about a guy who was a wedding planner, so I'm moving that into "wedding theme", and putting a different book I read into my gay/lesbian pride category. It's a bit of a stretch, but it gets me to 8 instead of 7!If anyone still needs a gay book, I recommend Str8te Boys. It was really good, and I think it would be good for someone who had never read m/m before. It was really short and really cute. If you're curious, send me a PM.

I really hate to give up on a book, but Stalking Darkness just isn't doing it for me, and it's too late to choose another, since I'm leaving on vacation in a couple days, so guess I'll get an Incomplete for this one, and try again next month. Congrats to all those who have finished.Completed 9/10

Don't worry BJ. There's always next month. I usually finish or come close but this month I've only managed 5/10 so far. A Tom Clancy novel took me 2 weeks to read and Under the Tuscan Sun has taken me a week so far and I'm just over half done with it and not even sure if I'll get it done by the end of the month.

Under the Tuscan Sun sounds really interesting, but also sounds like the type of book you want to read leisurely to savor the sights and sounds and smells of the area. And the Clancy book is not a quick read either.

And the Clancy book is not a quick read either."It took me two weeks to read the Clancy novel and it's been at least a good week on Under the Tuscan Sun and I still have about 1/5th of it left. I read it more quickly when they were actively repairing the house. Now that it's a culinary and wine lovers description of Tuscany and an Etruscian and Roman history lesson of the area... it's going much much slower. Between these 2 books it hasn't left time for much else. The James Potter book was good but a 400 page ebook that I have to read on my computer seemed to take awhile to read as well.

Well done :)
I chose Dragon Heat for two challenges in July, but I was wondering if it's any good. There's still time for me to change it, heh ;) What do you thing about that book?

9. New to you author: A Rush of Wings by Adrian Phoenix
I'm throwing in the towel early because I ended up getting caught up in the mystery series by O'Connell that I started here in this challenge. I ended up spending my time on reading 8 books in that series this month and now I'm down to one day left. I have the new Stephanie Plum book calling my name so I'm going to finish June with that instead of my challenge reads.
