Jealous, the idiotic human thought he was jealous. Even though some mundanes invented useful things others were just really dumb. "We're here," he said, stopping in front of the institute.

Amelia giggled to herself wickedly and then hopped off of his back. She looked at the institute and her mouth fell open," Oh my god", she gasped," It's beautiful". She saw a huge skyscraper that sketched across the sky, it had an ancient and wise theme to it.
"I knmow," he said, he saw it every day and was always awed. "Get off my back."
Amelia looked around and then said," I'm already off of it". She was walking towards the institute and opened the gate that held it. She walked in to be greeted by a more beautiful sight, the building had an affect on her.
"Now she walks around like she owns the place," he muttered, under his breath. "Lucas!" he called. "We have a guest," he hollered.

Lucas entered the room, looking around he saw a pretty mundane glaring at his brother. This is going to be fun, he thought smirking. "So what's your anme. I do not remember meeting such a lovely young lady as yourself," he drwaled, kissing her hand.

Amelia's mouth dropped open slowly as a handsome man came to her and kissed her hand like a gentlemen. He introduced himself and even complimented her. "I-I'm Amelia", she stuttered nervously.
She was already acting like a fool.
"A beautiful name that fits to a beautiful young lady like you. But may I ask what are you doing here? This place is not for normal mundanes like you," he said, caressing her cheek. Winking at his brother when Amelia wasn't looking.

Amelia's eyes widened as he caressed her cheek, she moved away because she wasn't one of those girls. She looked at him and then she looked at Derek," Why don't you ask Derek? He seems to think there is something strange with me because I can see weird beasts ".

Amelia shook her head," No, I've only ever seen things like that in my dream, I mean recently I've been writing random signs". She looked to Derek and then looked back down at the ground, she didn't know what else to say. She hide her hand in her pocket, she didn't want to show them. They'd probably say something crazy and keep her here longer.

She couldn't stay here, she felt like something was odd about this place.
"Good for me I don't want idiotic mundanes arond here," hemuttered following them. He didn't know what his brother saw in her she was just a regular mortal, sure she was pretty but nothing to fawn about.
Amelia had had enough! She turned around to Derek with a strong look on her face. "You don't want 'stupid mundanes' around?", she said viciously,"You were the one who followed me and practically kidnapped me! You shouldn't have brought a stupid mundane here if you never wanted one here!".
"Do you think the monster would have just walked away after seeing you, you'd be dead and ying in a gutter, if I hadn't been there. Or any other demon would have killed you," he spat, coldly, at her.
Amelia clenched her teeth together," If I'm just another stupid mundane why bother to save me!?", she yelled. She had had it with Derek, he didn't have to take her here! ------
All the yelling and shouting was never a good sign or sound. Steve came out of his office very rarely, but this time he just could not help himself. He joined his hands behind his back and walked out towards the noise with his head held high," What is going on?".
"Nothing," Derek growled. "I'm going to my room," he said, before storming away.

Just out of curiosity he asked," What is your surname?".
When he heard the name Thornton his eyes immediately widened," You are not of the human world".
"What do you mean she's clearly a mundane," he frowned. He looked at Amelia, why had the Surname Thorton triggered something inside Steven.
Amelia's forehead creased. She had kind of gotten that mundane meant human. She looked at Steven with a confused look on her face, what was so important about her surname?

Steven stiffened and shook his head," Was your mothers name Isabelle?". When she nodded her head and clarified his scrambled mind, he suddenly pulled on her hand, which caused her to yelp slightly.
Her hand had a rune on it, forming itself.
"Why does she have a rune on her hand?" He asked, cautiously. Something was wrong, something unnatural was happening, who was Amelia really? He gave Steven a look that said: 'We have to talk later.'
Amelia looked down at her hand to see it had gotten worse, the shape was almost nearly formed. What were runes and why did she have one on her hand? Who was her mother? ----
Steven looked to Amelia with wide eyes and then pulled his hand away from hers. He looked at Lucas and said," She must stay here and she must be protected, is that understood?".

Steven looked at Lucas and gulped slightly. Then he looked to Amelia and said," Your mother was one of the most fiercest and powerful shadow hunter there was, but she was also one of the most powerful witches there was". ----
Amelia started to back into a corner, slowly her mind started to fill with all these emotions and she couldn't begin to understand what was happening. She was scared.
She started to walk away and then eventually she was running through the institute, trying to find a way out.
Derek had been watching the whole seen play out. When she ran away he cursed and ran after her. But before he did he called to Lucas: "Find out what's going on!"

"Got you," he muttered, when he finally caught up with her. She had been trying to open the forever locked door, it had been locked as long as he could remember. He quickly encircled her in his arms, caging her.

Amelia's eyes widened as she felt Derreks arms go around her. She looked at him and shook her head," I can't stay here! Please". She started to cry softly, not sob or cause waterworks. But cry silently.She dropped her head on his shoulder and huddled herself into him.

Steven did not want to answer anymore questions, but he looked at Lucas and sighed. The boy always wanted something.
"Isabelle was not only the most powerful witch but was also wanted by demons for slaying many of them. Amelia's mother had something special in her", he said. He looked at Lucas and then walked away," Do not ask anymore questions".
"It's fine," he whispered, hugging her to him. He didn't know the girl very long but he already had the urge to protect her. She was different from other mundanes, stronger and she stood up for herself.

Amelia shook her head, making her hair go crazy as it rubbed against his shoulder and clothing," No it's not". She pulled away slightly and looked at him for a second. She ran her fingers through her hair and then wiped away her tears. She just looked at him, because she had no idea what to do next," My mothers really one of you guys, on top of that a witch?".
"As it seems, Lucas is interrogating Steven right now to find out more," he muttered, wiping away some of her tears. "Let's go upstairs, we can maybe find ou more about you and your mom."
Amelia looked at him with her forehead creased and her mind confused," Why are you being nice? I'm just a stupid mundane, remember?". She gave him a questioning look and then gulped, she didn't know what to believe herself anymore. ((Sorry for late reply))
