Odd book description for http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18... unlikely contest mentioned is permanent (did not click to see if had end date but most sweepstakes do) so definitely not for book description.

This book description http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10... has boldfaced sale information specifying on sale for August only. Since likely been there all August, there might be a librarian note explaining which staff member made an exception to the no-promotions/bookseller-links/ads in book description rule. Otherwise, I think it's a dated promotion needing to be deleted as well.
Fixed. Removed sale information and left Librarian note. The change was done by the author so likely no one caught it before you.
Gee, LOL, all these bazillion millions of books aren't reviewed daily?(I spotted going thru my amazon wishlist, saw the sale on amazon, bought book and came back to goodreads to mark as bought -- when shelving here saw the promotion in book description. Hopefully the length of time the ephemeral information/promotion was likely in book description doesn't encourage more to popup.)
This one I don't think is exactly against policy http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12... but could use a little re-wording for those of us who have no idea what "In the second announcement, we revealed that Orion have bought the rights to two adult books from me. The first, due..." Is talking about (presumably author blog or status update post). The link is not a bookseller link so not sure where that falls in terms of policy.

Another one with book description with reviews and quoted praises: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17...
Another one with lots of quoted praises in book description: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...
Another with quoted praise at bottom of description The Seven Steps to Closure (kindle edition with asin B0082S1WPE)
Someone fixed that edition, but there were more that had a Barnes & Noble review as the description, so I'm going through each edition. However, attempts to update editions with the "default description" are not sticking. Other edits are, however, so I'm just replacing the questionable reviews with the *text* of the default description. Does anyone know if this is a known issue?
Another full of book reviews - isbn 9780829423501 at https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...Description in book synopsis says:
""An outstanding historical novel.”—New York Times
“This novel makes real . . . the whole world of the New Testament.”—Chicago Tribune
“His theme is presented with an assurance and sweetness that is refreshing
in a great novel.”—Christian Science…"
