Oh, yay!! I knew you'd like it :-) She has a few others out, I think she writes mostly PNR stuff. I think I have another one by her, but I haven't read it yet. Should probably get on that...

Enjoy Mystery Man! Mmmmm, sexy sexy book.

I hope to get to some other picks this month. I know I will at least read Flowers from the Storm, but there are several others I want to read too. I just need to read a few others for some challenges first though...

I just finished my second pick Mystery Man (Dream Man, #1) by Kristen Ashley , and I enjoyed it very much! I liked this a lot better than the Rock Chick books. It was so delicious. I probably would've slept with Hawk too when I didn't know his name. :)

2/2 so far, Renee. I'm going to tackly In Flight (Up In The Air, #1) by R.K. Lilley next.

I'm so glad you liked it! I think it's an amazing, heartbreaking story, not the typical romance, and I remember that I cried so much when I was reading it.

Yes, I can see how that would make it harder to enjoy. I've been there myself so I completely understand. I did like what a great brother he was through it all though. In a lot of ways that book pushed my comfort zones, I was happier with it in retrospect after thinking about my feelings, how I was triggered and what really happened.

Skandia (sfgirl) | 972 comments Ashley,
I have finished two books -
Pack Challenge (Magnus Pack, #1) by Shelly Laurenston was an ok PNR book, the story was a bit rushed but still pretty good.
Sudden Response (EMS, #1) by R.L. Mathewson , a cute friends-to-lovers romance.
I gave both books 3 stars.

I also finished The Marriage Merger (Marriage to a Billionaire, #4) by Jennifer Probst this was the forth book in the series and I loved it!!!!

I finished [book:Lover Mine|7046495] by J.R. Ward and it was alright. I gave it *** because I was really looking forward to the Xhex and John story but it kind of disappointed me. Too many other story lines were getting in the way for me.

I'm glad you liked it, Crystal! Jill Shalvis is one of my go-to authors when I want something light and fun but with great characters. And the fact that the town of Lucky Harbor (if it existed) would be located not far too from where I live gives that series a little extra shot of fun for me... :-)

I just finished the 5th and 6th books for this month.

Stars & Stripes (Cut & Run, #6) by Abigail Roux --loved this one! It was hilarious and sweet. I have listened to the audiobooks for the other books in the series, and I think that I will have to listen to this one when it comes out (so long as it's the same narrator) because I think it would be even more hilarious then when I read it. I just love Ty & Zane and I love the way that their relationship is progressing. I'm so glad that they (view spoiler). *sigh* Ty & Zane are definitely my book boyfriends even though I don't have the right parts to satisfy them, a girl can dream. *sigh*

Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #1) by C.J. Roberts --so I'm not sure how I feel about this one. The story was good, but I felt disconnected to it because I really didn't like Caleb nor could I want anything good to happen for him. The end of the story made me a bit ill. I couldn't believe that he was still going to go through with it. I will have to continue this series though because I have to know what happens next.

So, I still am super excited about all of these picks. You've really hit it out of the park this month! I think I'll go on to Leave Me Breathless (Ross Siblings, #3) by Cherrie Lynn next. Maybe Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee , I'm not sure.

Books I've read so far this month:
Firsts by Rosalie Stanton Mystery Man (Dream Man, #1) by Kristen Ashley In Flight (Up In The Air, #1) by R.K. Lilley Mile High (Up In The Air, #2) by R.K. Lilley Stars & Stripes (Cut & Run, #6) by Abigail Roux Captive in the Dark (The Dark Duet, #1) by C.J. Roberts

Ty | 1943 comments Hey Fran!

I finished Surviving Raine (Surviving Raine, #1) by Shay Savage and gave it 3.5 stars. It was a compelling read that I liked well enough, yet I couldn't help thinking of the LOST potential - at the hands of a more experienced (emotional?) writer, I could see this having a deeper connection to the readers. Then again, I am a masochist who yearns for angsty reads. ha. onward to the next!

ps. naturally, I wanted to slap Sebastian multiple times and at multiple times throughout the story - thus my wish for him to suffer much more than he did. hahahah.

I just finished my 4th PIFM A Rogue by Any Other Name (The Rules of Scoundrels, #1) by Sarah MacLean I really enjoyed this story. The character were fun, the plot was intriguing. I thought there would be more debauchery, but that's ok. I'll for sure read the next book in the series. My favorite part were the letters. I gave it 4 stars.

Nancy H | 1111 comments Hi Brandilyn,
I just finished my first pick for the month, A Matter of Time (#1) by Mary Calmes , and I must say that I was a bit disappointed in the writing style. I was really looking forward to this book, but I thought the main character was in some ways too stereotyped. I also thought that although the plot was good, especially near the end, it just didn't move smoothly. But that being said, I am still glad that I read it, and am moving on to another pick soon (just haven't decided which one yet - too many good ones to choose from - lol!)
