I haven't heard if there was going to be a sequel to The Host but I felt like it wasn't over. Does anyone know? Did anyone else feel like it was the beginning of a new series or should be the beginning?

i've heard that she is going to, but it might not be for a while, but i think everything might've changed when someone leaked midnight sun...
What do you mean? Meaning that since she isn't doing Midnight Sun that she is doing the sequel to The Host instead? Or that she is throwing in the towel because of the leak?
im not really sure, i just think that her plan has changed, i just dont know what her new one would be because she never really mentions anything like that on her site
Did a little research today and I have heard that she is coming out with "The Seeker" and "The Soul" so we will see if it is just rumor or not.
I know! I wish she would hurry! I'm sure she is going to be busy for a while on the Twilight movies though. I felt like there was still stories left in Twilight too.
me too!yeah true... :(
yeah there definitely was! but i liked the host better so i hope there is a sequel soon!

You know I haven't made my decision on that yet. I think I may have like Twilight better but only because I had the whole series to read at once. The Host has the potential of being a great series.

where are you finding this information at. I have been searching forever and I could not find a thing
Okay I think it's best to do a google search and just read everything out there. I searched for "The Host Sequel" and tons comes up.
that is weird that it would be out that there but she would not post it on her website. you know what i mean

I am going to have to search some more. maye try to find that interview.
I just finished reading The Host last week, and I absolutely loved it! But I don't think there was a need for a sequel, so I'm kind of dissapointed in hearing that there will be one. I liked how it ended, I felt satisfied. Oh, well. I'll still read the next few books, and I hope they're great :)
Really? It TOTALLY felt like the beginning to me. I mean what are they doing right now, you know? Are they all just hiding out in a cave until they die? Will she experience child birth? Nope much more there to tell.
Hmmm, I suppose I must admit I'm a bit curious about those things also. But truly, I would've been happy with the ending because I knew there was hope for a better future :)
Oh, and here is a link to an interview with Meyer for anyone who wants to watch. She mentions that she might make a sequel, but who knows: here
it did end in a way that it couldve been the first one, in my opinion. but i really think a sequel would be good and better for the story and i reallyyy want one!
I think it was a really great book and alll. But I think a sequel would probably wreck it. I thought it was an awesome book on its own.
besides Twilight and The Host? Yeah I remember reading something somewhere where she wrote something before Twilight but I don't remember what it was.
Sorry I wasn't any help with the actual name of the book but I figured at least if you knew there was another book you would just search the internet for it.
Oh no I'm not upset sorry if I came off that way. I went ahead and looked and found that she did a short story Prom Nights From Hell.
One of the other authors was Meg Cabot and I actually don't really like her writing so I haven't even tried that one yet.
Hmmm, I'm not too fond of Meg Cabot either, and I really don't like multiple authors on one book. Its usually short stories, or really mixed up and I get frustrated.

Yeah, there's lots of authors with short stories, and even my favorite authors' stories aren't as good as a whole novel. It just doesn't seem long enough for the story and characters to develop much.
