:) Great book!"
I've loved it! Now I'm determined to read as much as possible of her biography. *_* Do you have any recommendations?
I'll probably read The Prince of Tides after finishing Pale Fire. :)

I have heard so much about that series. What did you think of the first book?

I'll be reading this next month. Haven't ordered it yet as I'm annoyed that I can't easily find the matching US cover editions to go with my other 2 books - I hate cover changes!

I'm glad I'm not the only one, haha.

I LOVED this book! And I didn't even know it - not one of the most famous of Dicken's book.
I'm about to start - when my tablet wears out of battery! - Friend of My Youth, the first of some of Munroe's novel thatbI'd like to read this month

:) I think that you will like it. And lots of good stuff for your dissertation!

I enjoyed Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter last year when I read it, Julia. Hope you like it.

I've seen it quoted so many times here this book. I'll give it a close look

I finished The Thirteenth Tale Late last night and will post my thoughts at lunchtime. So next I am going to start Wuthering Heights

Wuthering Heights will be my next audiobook (listening to Librivox's version 2). My next Kindle book will be the first book in The Forsyte Saga, The Man of Property for my readalong with Valetta.

In a German mood Dhanaraj? I've never particularly liked Handke!

Not sure I can help much as I haven't read any of those. If I'm deciding between a few books I sometimes read the first page of each and stick with the one that grips me most :)

Gone with the Wind
The Eye of the World
Under the Dome
The Running Man
Cheryl, I've read 2 of them - Gone with the Wind and Under the Dome. Depends what you like, really - both are quite long winded, but also a good read.

I have only read Gone With the Wind, which I enjoyed. Sad to say, I haven't heard of the other books you list so I can't even make uninformed advice!

After that I will start my A-Z challenge with All the Truth That's In Me

Definitely Gone with the Wind 5 star read, in my opinion.

I'm torn between:
The Yellow Wallpaper
Wuthering Heights
The Bell Jar
A Streetcar Named Desire

The Yellow Wallpaper is quite short, so maybe that would be a good choice as you mentioned elsewhere that this upcoming week will be a busy one.

Read The Yellow Wallpaper. It is very short and you can finish it tonight, so you might as well do it. The Bell Jar would be a good one to follow that up with.

I am willing to read Crime and Punishment with you next year, if you want!
@Leslie Crime and Punishment is one of my potential reads for next yeR. Think I might need a friend to read it with!

OK, when I get close to reading it, I will check in with you.

About to start both The Child Thief and A Scanner Darkly for this month.
Next one I have City of Bones in poll position!
