I am just about to start rereading Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy which is BOTM for another one of my groups. Last time I read it was in the late 1970s so I have pretty much forgotten it...

Once I am finished with the three books I am currently reading, I think I will try to finish The Other Queen. I have had it since September.

I found Gone Girl to be quite frustrating at times, but I loved it because it was very unsettling and intense.

@Alannah - I have heard a few people say that about it. I think it's probably a love or hate kind of book. I'm reading it to see what all the fuss is about haha!

I can't help as I am unfamiliar with that series. But summer is a perfect time for light reading!

Becca, I'll agree with Alannah, Gone Girl is quite frutrating at parts but gripping nevertheless. I hope you enjoy it if you decide to read this one :)

Shirley, good luck with The Fault in Our Stars. I don't think anyone can escape crying by the end of it..

Even though I'm not yet done with my current book, I might start reading After Dark tomorrow while travelling.

I think I loved it simply because I could not put it down and I was still thinking about long after I had finished. I absolutely love books that can mess with your mind a bit.

Too bad you paid anything as that is in the public domain. I thought it was mediocre rather than terrible - I liked the main character but the solution to the mystery was quite obvious early on.

What kind of mysteries do you prefer?

I like Agatha Christie and cozy mysteries. The problem I'm finding now is that cozies have some things in them I don't like - they don't seem so "cozy" anymore if that makes sense. I guess I Iike the good old fashioned "weekend at an English estate/country house" type.

I can't say, Laura. They are light and somewhat entertaining but I'm not completely pulled into them. I love Grandma Mazur. She's wonderful.
I think it's worth looking at the first book, if you can get a cheap copy, to see if you'd like them. You'd fly through a copy in a couple of hours.

I'd like to after I finish No Return, I'd like to read The Way of the Swordand book three The Way of the Dragonif I have time. The one I am currently reading is taking up all my time because I started reading it after I finished The Fault in our Stars. They go back to my library on the 1st with The Fault in Our Starswhich I currently read recently and it was a pretty good read. The Young Samurai series is a pretty good series thus far so if I have time, I will read books 2 and 3. I am also ready to read Doctor Sleepwhen it comes into my library after September 24 and Styxxthe next Dark hunter novel from Ms. Sherrilyn Kenyon when it comes out next month. I will also be getting Defiancefor my 26th birthday on September 26 and I read what the book was about and it looks like an interesting read. So I read what I can pick up at my local library when they come in and more.
