Besides Reading....
So true... if I didn't have to work, I would love to read my whole TBR list! ;) I was just thinking today how I will never get through the whole list, especially since I add at least 2 books a day...I don't knit or anything, but I can sew a little. I made a bunch of handbags a couple years ago, which was fun. It got too expensive though.
Does anyone do Zumba? I started going about a month ago and it's so much fun!

I'm not usually a big fan of dance workouts b/c I don't get enough of a workout, but I've heard it's a little more intense. Unfortunately I've been banned from the gym until baby gets here, so I'll have to wait a few weeks to try it!
I haven't tried Zumba either (I'm still a pilates/yoga fan...even if it is so five years ago:)) but a woman in my grad school prgm swears by it! Says it is the most fun and active exercise she has ever done!

Believe me, I know how addicting yarn can be! LOL!
Looks like I'm going to latch onto another obsession with the quilting as well! :)

So far in my knitting endeavors, I've made a purse and a pair of mittens. Right now I'm working on wrist/arm warmers for three of my nieces. I'm an overachiever when it comes to stuff like that. I get bored quickly if it's not challenging enough or if I'm doing the same thing over and over.

I have a sewing machine but haven't used it much. That's another thing I want to learn - to sew my own clothes. I guess with all my interests, I'm pretty big into arts & crafts type stuff....along with reading, of course. And it looks like my daughter is following the same path. Not only does she love books ("like I'm gonna marry them" as she says, LOL!) but she's really into arts & crafts stuff too. I recently bought her a Mickey Mouse I Learned To Knit kit (which I have yet to sit down and try to teach her with, I'm right handed, she's left handed so I don't know how I'm going to do it). And the other day she begged me for a latch hook kit when we were in the store. And of course, I cannot squash the budding artist in her, LOL, well, that and, she's a little spoiled. :)

I WOULD LOVE TO KNIT OR SEW OR SOMETHING BUT MY FEAR IS IF I TAKE ON ANOTHER HOBBY MY READING WILL GO TO SHIT AGAIN. JEN YOUR PREGO? CONGRATS!!!
Zumba is a dance/workout class. I had been wanting to try it for awhile, and my gym finally got it this year. It's fun! It's got a lot of latin influence (which I'm not very good at) but some instructors will play other music. I've been taking dance classes for about 10 years (off & on) so I do have some dance background. But you don't need to be a great dancer.I think Zumba is a good workout. It's an hour long and it gets your heart rate up. I mean, I wouldn't stop doing cardio or anything, but taking a dance class a couple times a week is good.

The only thing I have been doing for excerise lately is the Wii and Wii Fit. LOL!
I have every intention of using it every day but it never happens. At least you go to the gym three days a week.
I REALLY want a Wii and Wii Fit! It would be nice to work out at home, especially in the winter. I never feel like going to the gym when it's so cold & snowing. I will probably skip Zumba tonight since it snowed last night and the parking lots are such a mess today.
WELL I GO THROUGH BAD TIMES WITH GYM. I JUST HAD LIKE A 4 MONTH BREAK NOW IM FINALLY BACK INTO IT. THE SCALE HELPED ME WITH THAT ONE. I GAINED NEARLY 17 POUNDS BACK IN MY 4 MONTH ESCAPE.

Don't worry about it Dawn, you lost the weight before, you can do it again! :)
I just learned that the Wii Fits should be in by the end of the month! Yippeeee!

my fiance and I are dying to buy the wii to play games together (okay we are really competitive)...can anyone suggest a cheap place to buy one...since they are everywhere now it seems!
I am in Michigan Cathy and they are out of stock everywhere here. You can't even get one online. I have had mine since the fist time they came out. I don't think you can even get a Wii fit right now. I heard they stoppped making the Wii fit so they can focus on getting more Wii consoles out. CRAZY! I would have thought by now there would be enough. During Christmas time I seen them everywhere.

I went to Gamestop and put one on reserve for $25, same with the Wii Fit. That way I was guaranteed to get one eventually. :)

Wow! I thought I saw a Friend Package one (or some name that comes with 2 of all the accessories for sports games) on Overstock.com but maybe that's gone too!
Hey look! An old forgotten thread that I've dredged up!!!I decided if I was ever going to be serious about writing, I would need to flex my writing muscles and expand outside of my quick reviews and witty comments on here. I'm not comfortable opening it up to my facebook world yet, but I do feel comfortable enough to open it up to all of you - it's just a silly blog I've decided to keep about training my dog (finally!) I started it the end of February, but then began to doubt myself and left it alone. I had a change of heart today and made a second post...
So check it out from time to time (please!?!?) The more comfortable I am with it, the more I will begin to post.

I can provide some assistance with posting pictures. When you create a new post (or edit one), there's a little icon that kind of looks like a picture in the same row as things like bold and italics. Just click on that. A pop-up will appear that allows you to either upload from your computer or pull a picture off the web.
