So.....what did you think? I think I sat there watching that scene with my jaw in my lap! I couldn't believe the drama and OMG, Theresa! I think Dina had a voice over saying that Theresa was like a caged animal and I have to agree, I don't think there was a better way to describe her!
I didn't realize (having missed the book revealing episode) that the book was written by Danielle's FIRST husband (didn't know she's been divorced once already either)! That only makes me want to read it even more!
But you know...only two things are true in that book - the arrest and the name change. LOL!

message 102: by Nadia (new)

Nadia A (bagambo) I watched last week's episode and the season finale!!! OMG!!! Talk about drama queens!! I had no idea Theresa had it in her to throw the table like that. And what was with the music - like when Caroline confessed that she was the one with the book, it was like, dum, du, dum, du, dummmmmm. Crazy!! It was so rude of Danielle to bring the book to the dinner party - what was that! She totally wanted to start a fight. And why is she so against Dina? Why did Theresa invite her to the party in the first place? UGH!! Danielle obviously hates everyone there, why did she even go? What did you all think?

message 103: by Kourtney (new)

Kourtney (readthateventually) | 1215 comments Danielle was probably contracted to be there since it is a tradition that for the last episode all of the housewives get together for a party or dinner of some kind. I can't wait to watch this episode! I have it in my DVR so I will be watching it after work today!!! I fell asleep at 9:30 last night after fighting so hard to stay awake. I'll throw in my 7 cents after I watch it :) :) :) Did Bravo have commercials for a reunion?

Jacqueline just had her baby last week I think...I think I read that on a TMZ-esque website last week.

message 104: by Nadia (new)

Nadia A (bagambo) Hey Kourtney! Can't wait to hear what you think! Yes, Bravo advertised the reunion for next week, can't wait to watch that one. And I think on Thursday they will be showing The Last Supper uncut - probably more fighting and name calling. That's great that Jacqueline had her baby, especially after having so many problems in the past.

I wonder if they will do a season two?

message 105: by Stacy (new)

Stacy (stacymarie913) | 5567 comments Mod
Awww, I'm so happy for Jacqueline!
I can't wait for tomorrow night - I am SO watching the uncut part! I couldn't believe all the bleeping coming from Theresa!
I know what you're saying Nadia, what WAS that all about, bringing the book? I loved how they showed everyone's reactions once they noticed it sitting on the table. Craziness though, pure craziness!!
Yeah, I didn't know Caroline was the one that found it. All along I thought it was Dina. The way Danielle kept attacking Dina, I don't get it. What did she do in the beginning to piss Danielle off so much. I hate that I missed the first few episodes!

Have they ever done a second season with the same housewives? Or do they just move on to a new city/state? Hmmmm....where could they go next? Miami? That might be fun!

message 106: by Kourtney (new)

Kourtney (readthateventually) | 1215 comments They are on something like season 6 of the original Housewives of Orange County and they just finished season 2 of Real Housewives of New York. RHO Atlanta is finishing taping season 2, so there is a possibility of them doing a second season of NJ. Have to say NY and OC are much better than NJ.

Stacy you haven't missed anything about why Danielle hates Dina so much. She has alluded to knowing more about Dina than anyone knows but she won't say anything...YET. She thinks Dina is fake and phony (who isn't on these shows). Like when they had the botox party and Dina was saying she doesn't have any work done on her face...yeah right!

message 107: by Kristine (new)

Kristine (kc0217) | 335 comments The housewives are usually the same - unless they bring in a new one - like Kelly in NY & Gretchen in OC. I read that they are doing a season 2 for NJ. I also read that Bravo may be doing a Chicago housewives.

It was a crazy episode! I thought it was hysterical when Danielle took out the book. I thought Jacqualine was great!!

message 108: by Stacy (new)

Stacy (stacymarie913) | 5567 comments Mod
That's awesome! Any news on when another Housewives will be starting?

I know what you're saying Kourtney, the Botox epsiode. Yeah, like Dina hasn't had anything done - whatever!

message 109: by Kourtney (new)

Kourtney (readthateventually) | 1215 comments I read that they were casting for a Real Housewives in Washington DC. I can be on the "Real Housewives of San Fernando Valley" LOL!

I'm watching the show now! They just got to the dinner party!

message 110: by Kourtney (new)

Kourtney (readthateventually) | 1215 comments WOW! You know an episode is good when my boyfriend doesn't get off the couch and then proceeds to scream at the TV "WHY WOULD YOU BRING THE BOOK OUT?!?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! Why did she bring that?" (I had told him about the book when I googled that article)

That was awesome when Caroline said "look at me because I'm the one who told everyone" and we both shouted "OH SNAP!" then with Jacqueline jumping in "SNAP AGAIN!" and the final snap?!? Pay attention puh-leaze! and Theresa losing her sh!t. That's how we Jersey Italian's roll! Not afraid to get in your face :) I just looked at my boyfriend, laughed and told him that was what he had to look forward to with me (I was born in Jersey and am part Italian). Loved it! I can't wait for the reunion!

Oh and I love Danielle's reasoning with there being only 2 things true in the book - the name change and her being arrested. I loved how she kept screaming she wasn't a prostitue - the book never said you were! It said you were a stripper who would do anything for drugs! It didn't specify what that "something" was :) Semantics!

message 111: by Nadia (new)

Nadia A (bagambo) What a great ep!! I can't wait for the reunion too! I'll probably watch the Last Supper on Thurs. I loved it when Caroline told Danielle to look at her when she was talking about the book!! That was brilliant tv!!! I want to know why Danielle hates Dina so much. Its crazy!!! I have to say that I have really enjoyed the NJ housewives. I like NYC too. I used to like the OC ones alot too. I never really dug the Atlanta one, but I still watched it :)

I agree with Theresa that there must be something else in that book that is true. Danielle keeps clinging to the 2 things that aren't true, but then she keeps alluding to things that were such huge mistakes. Hmmm.

I felt badly for Danielle's daughters and any of the other kids that witnessed any of the drama. I mean, who wants to watch their mom get yelled at and a table thrown at them. CRAZY!!! To be honest, everytime I see Danielle's kids I keep wondering if they are her daughters, because they look nothing like her - of course it could be the work she had done on her face that throws me off.

What a show!!

message 112: by Stacy (new)

Stacy (stacymarie913) | 5567 comments Mod
Oh I thought it was hilarious when they cut to the kids and they were saying that they weren't going anywhere and didn't want to miss it. And the one girl sings, "Awkward!" Too funny!
I hate Danielle's eyebrows! She always looks surprised!

I've never seen any of the other ones except a few episodes of Atlanta and I liked those. Just didn't know when it was on. I'm hooked on this show now, cat fights are too much fun to watch! LOL!

message 113: by Nadia (new)

Nadia A (bagambo) I know! Danielle's eyebrows are ridiculous!!!

message 114: by Nadia (new)

Nadia A (bagambo) I saw the Last Supper and was cracking up, again!! I can't help it. Every time I watch Theresa flip the table I just laugh. It is hilarious! And I can't get over Danielle's "I didn't want this. This isn't what I wanted" declarations. Oh please!!! She so wanted drama!! She just wanted it with Dina. Did you hear her when she told her daughter she could take Dina down. Too funny!!!

message 115: by Kourtney (new)

Kourtney (readthateventually) | 1215 comments I stayed up late because I got sucked into watching it around 10:30 (went to bed after 11 and overslept - see what you do to me Real Housewives!!!) That was crazy! I was getting annoyed though that to stretch it out for an hour they kept replaying certain scenes 5 or 6 times. Yeah Bravo - I saw it the first time I didn't need to see it again. Show me something new!

Bring on the reunion!!!

message 116: by Nadia (new)

Nadia A (bagambo) True - they must have showed the table flipping like 20 times, after a few table flips, its like, okay, I got it, she flipped the table. Still cool, though.

The reunion is gonna rock! Can't wait to see it and discuss with you lot!!

message 117: by Stacy (new)

Stacy (stacymarie913) | 5567 comments Mod
Ok, good, sounds like I didn't miss much. I didn't realize it was on at 9 and not 10. So at about five to 10, I flipped on the TV and saw it was on. "Damn it!," I thought.
Oh well, the reunion is next week, right? Same time?

message 118: by Kourtney (new)

Kourtney (readthateventually) | 1215 comments The reunion is on Tuesday at 9 and then the second part is Thursday at 9.

Wow, they really like to drag it out don't they?

message 120: by Nadia (new)

Nadia A (bagambo) I know! Its always like that though - they got to milk whatever footage they got to get some extra shows or something. sad thing is, I am totally up for both!!

Stacy (stacymarie913) | 5567 comments Mod
Me too Nadia! I have to remember that's on tonight!

message 122: by Kourtney (new)

Kourtney (readthateventually) | 1215 comments So here I sit halfway through the reunion show and I feel like I'm watching the season all over again...stop with the clips and get on with the reunion! You said you have almost 8 hours of tape and the majority of the show is a clip show?!?!?!? BORING!

message 123: by Nadia (last edited Jun 24, 2009 06:00AM) (new)

Nadia A (bagambo) I know!!! What happened to the crying and name calling? It was so tame and boring!!! I wanted drama!! Hopefully Thursday will be better. I think even Danielle looked bored. I do think she is the reason for the divide in that family, which is sad that they would let that woman come between them. I think mentioning the mob ties and Theresa's husband's offensive comment were geared at bringing up drama, but it failed. In my opinion the NY reunion was better!!!

message 124: by Kourtney (last edited Jun 24, 2009 07:24AM) (new)

Kourtney (readthateventually) | 1215 comments I was very disappointed at the end. I want screaming! I want yelling! What happened to "we are real we aren't going to change for anyone" yet they sat there so nicey nice to each other...BS! The only thing that made it fun to watch was to see how stupid Theresa was. She kept stumbling over her story with her husband making fun of gay people. One minute he meant no malice then he thought it was funny with their friend that is "super gay" (thanks Theresa - I was unaware that there were levels of being gay so it's good to know that of all the gay levels your friend is right on top! Does this mean you are super straight?) But then all of a sudden he felt so bad about it when he saw it. Didn't you just say he was laughing with your super gay friend? But he felt bad? 2 plus 2 is not equaling 4 here.

I'm surprised they didn't focus more on what other housewives are blogging about - especially Bethenny (she's been having a blogging fued with Dina). That would have stirred up something catty. Instead we were left with Dina crying (why is she always crying?) about her dead father-in-law. I never heard about the story but apparantly it was a big story in Jersey. I googled it and for Caroline to sit there and declare it had nothing to do with the mob but then say they have no idea how it happened? Well then how can you say it has nothing to do with the mob?!?! Can someone start making sense on this show please! Bring back Real Housewives of NY!!!!

message 125: by Nadia (new)

Nadia A (bagambo) Kourtney you are so right! I was cracking up at how airheaded Theresa was - she couldn't say cleanliness! And then her apology for her husband's offensive comments was funny. What apology? Just eye rolling. I'm glad when Andy said he was gay and he was offended by the comments. Hello! They were offensive! And you are right, how can he be laughing about it with her "super gay" friend and then feeling badly about it - what really happened. I'm sure he just laughed about it. I like how Caroline had to add that her brother is gay and that he and Theresa's hubby are so close. Whatever!!

That would have been good if they had brought up Bethenny's comments on her blog about the NJ housewives. That would have been some good drama, instead of Dina's crying and Caroline's story about a birthday cake ring. What happened!?! Come on Andy - give us some good tv. Ask the good questions.

At least on the NY show Bethenny and Ramona had a shimmy off and Kelly was acting like a flighty airhead who just wanted to attack Bethenny. I miss NY Housewives. After the table flipping, I thought maybe a chair would be thrown or fists would fly :) Seriously though, I did expect some drama. I just hope that Thursday's episode brings it.

Ok, so once again, I missed it.

Here's luck for remembering it on Thursday. Sounds like I didn't miss much though...

message 127: by Nadia (new)

Nadia A (bagambo) Stacy you did not miss much at all. Tune in Thursday - I have a feeling that they saved the good video footage for the second part of the reunion. Or at least that is what I hope.

Really? I'll have to watch for it. I wonder if Bravo puts their schedule online...

message 131: by Nadia (new)

Nadia A (bagambo) Who watched it last night? Oh my! Drama at the end! What did Danielle do? Why did she approach someone to do something to Dina? What, did she want someone to take Dina out or to beat her up? How crazy and unstable is she? Danielle is trouble with a capital T!! She is just a bad person. It is sickening to think that she even thought of doing anything to Dina that required her to approach someone else to do it for her. What a crazy mess!! And how delusional is she when she is talking about all of her fans and all of the love and how she wants people to want her. I felt badly watching Caroline break down like that. And I couldn't believe Dina was ready to let bygones be bygones. I mean I understand what she was saying and that is positive of her to move forward, but if Danielle is that awful, just forget her completely. Don't even give her a second thought and be honest and admit that you two will never ever be friends, even a year from now. And Jacqueline needs to get some back bone and not have everyone pulling her in every which way and she also needs to recognize that Danielle is not a good person or friend. UGH! That show was just too much!!! And what was with Theresa, she was so quiet.

Kourtney (readthateventually) | 1215 comments Maybe Theresa realized she has nothing to ever add to the conversation once the SUPER GAY comment left her mouth! I haven't watched it yet but I will be tonight

Cathy (cgraceh) | 422 comments I didn't know where to post this and this looked like the best spot...There are many things I like to do besides read...there's never enough time in the day for it all let's just say that...but one of the things I'm feeling really ambitious about especially now that I've amped up my reading lately is Writing.

Are there any RDI Fans that dream of penning their own Chick Lit book??
I have read See Jane Write: A Girl's Guide to Writing Chick Lit by Sarah Mlynowski See Jane Write A Girl's Guide to Writing Chick Lit by Sarah Mlynowski and recently ordered Will Write for Shoes: How to Write a Chick Lit Novel by Cathy Yardley Will Write for Shoes How to Write a Chick Lit Novel by Cathy Yardley .

Would anyone be interested in having a discussion board on here to help aspiring writers? Like sugggestions? Topics? Samples? Genres? I'm sure RDI Fans can think of way more ideas than me...what do people think?

I like that idea Cathy. I would love to write a book but I don't have any idea on where to start, topic or anything.

I would definitely be interested.

message 137: by Alicia (new)

Alicia (diva2416) | 819 comments I would be interested in that as well. I have started working on something but haven't had a chance to work on it in awhile.

Tara We could help each other out!!

message 139: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 767 comments Cathy - Yes, I would be interested!! I am an aspiring writer as well. I just wish I had started writing back when I had more motivation and talent. Working as a copywriter (not a writer) has kinda drained my creativity.

I have a couple ideas for stories, and I'd really like to write either a chick lit or YA book.

What did you think of See Jane Write?

message 140: by Cathy (new)

Cathy (cgraceh) | 422 comments I really liked it. I thought it was informative and funny..I've heard that Will Write for Shoes gives even more concrete info..I've glimpsed at it and from what I can tell they are very similar...a great way to get motivated and get writing...they really simplify the process of sitting down and outlining and then writing..

message 142: by Tara (new)

Tara Cathy-you could always start your own group on Goodreads for beginner writers. I would join.

message 143: by Alicia (new)

Alicia (diva2416) | 819 comments I agree we could also do books of the month but have them geared towards "How to Write". Janet Evanovich has one that I have not read along with Stephen King. I read Bird by Bird by Anne Lamont in college and that one was great. I also have on that I keep putting off called "Reading For Writers" which tells you what to look for while reading other peoples work.

message 144: by Cathy (new)

Cathy (cgraceh) | 422 comments Great idea! I will start a Chick Lit Aspiring writers group and let my other groups know as well. Hope all join! Fun...I definitely need help being motivate and working on things like topic, beginnings middles and ends, etc etc.

I really recommend those two books. There kind of difficult to find. One I ordered via Barnes and Nobles thrid party sellers for cheap cheap cheap. the other I ordered via PBS Marketplace using a credit and the rest money.
