ABANDONED. stolen computer chip that cracks passwords is being moved by some crackheads

I could have sworn this book was named 'Players' but i cant find anything about it online. Started out: Some drugged out people robbed an armored truck carrying a password cracking advanced computer chip. They were moving it and a prisoner for a rich dude. The prisoner was the main character. The main character was detained during the transport in a van while the captors smoked a lot of drugs. They made it to hand off place and something happened where the main character was able to escape with the help of a friend.

when did you read this? Was the entire plot about the escape? Or, did more happen after the main character escaped?

Was the prisoner a friend of the rich man? Or, was he a hostage?
