Hi EveryoneI'm James from Scotland. Quite new to Goodreads and just getting to grips with things - Your group sounded interesting so I thought I would give it a go and see what happens. I enjoy reading fiction and would welcome any recommendations you guys have. I've just finished The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet which I thoroughly enjoyed. Although I do not normally read SciFi this book was very much character driven and I'm really looking forward to the sequel.
Currently reading
and
- Both good so far. Anyway I look forward to chatting!
Welcome James! I'd like to request that you include book titles in your posts -- I have trouble identifying books by their covers. Thanks in advance!

Welcome!
Why is Vancouver under a rock? I'll be travelling through it this summer enroute to visiting my parents on the Sunshine Coast, where I was born and mostly raised. I left the province when Vancouver was still affordable, though.

Welcome! I was in Scotland once for a month & loved it! My niece and nephew are/were/will be attending a Scout Jamboree there this summer.
Welcome Jennie and James!
i'm a bit overwhelmed at work - lately more than an exception it is becoming a constant status, and therefore I'm so tired at night it's hard for me to turn my pc on.
Still I come here every now and then and I'm glad to see new faces and new ideas

Hello, Everyone! My name is Ursula and I was invited to come join this group by my sweet little friend, Gloria Sun. :) I live in good ol' North Carolina, with my nine million plus--and counting--books! :D I feel so very blessed that I can and love to read.
Welcome Ursula. That's one of my favorite names. If you don't know, it means "little she-bear." I hear you on the books. I probably have nine million myself! :)
I'm so happy you decided to join us Urs! I really hope you enjoy the very interesting discussions happening here.
Hello newbies and welcome to one and all from Tweedledum....or is it Tweedledee? I have been lurking on this site for a good while now but don't often get much time these days to post, (it being a momentous year for Alice and all. :
Alice in Wonderland)
..... Only Joking !
Sadly while Tweedledum can while away the hours spouting sense or nonsense in the virtual world, the real me has to fill my days and nights with purposeful activity. All of which tells me it's important to laugh a little each day.
So In-between all that serious reading remember to lighten up and do check out the AAB "Just for Fun" section. So many fun little games to dip into. Your contributions will be most welcome!
Hi, new guy Bargle here. I found this group while looking at an old book and seeing threads it was mentioned in. Thought I'd pop in and look around.I'm also a Goodreads librarian. I see you have a thread called "Librarians to the Rescue". I hope I can be of help there.
Hello, Phrynne here from Sydney, Australia. I am a very busy reader and I spend a lot of time on Goodreads too. I thought that this looked like a very friendly group plus quite a few friends are already here.

Hello everyone! I'm Jivan. Slow reader, but avid bookworm. I'm here to talk about books,, and hopefully find some great books that have flown under my radar! I live in London, UK. And spend my time reading, writing, and drinking copious amounts of tea.
Anyway, looking forward to talking about books!
Hi all! I'm Laura from UK. Have been here before in another incarnation but after having been off goodreads for a while I couldn't remember the details for my account so had to make a new one oops! So anyway, love most kinds of fiction and a lot of non-fiction too, looking forward to chatting with you all.
Hello! My name is Andreea and I am an architecture student in Romania! I love reading any genre, but someow I always return to the classics. In books I'm looking for ideas and beautiful characters that make me empathize with them, the plot is of no importance (that's why I dare read the last page before buying a book) and I love reading more books from the same author. :)So I joined so I could share opinions and ideas!
Welcome Shikha & Andreea! Hopefully you will both find plenty of ideas here :) Our members read all different types of books so there should be something mentioned to appeal to any taste!

Hi,I am Tytti from Finland, I joined a couple of days ago (to comment on one thread) and have been lurking here ever since. My reading comes and goes, at the moment I am suffering from a slump. I like classics and mainly literary fiction from different parts of the world, though my guilty pleasure is mysteries, and I am also interested in history. I am also a moderator in a group that I started and will probably steal some themes from you in the future. For example next month our theme will be Hungarian literature because it will be 60 years from the Hungarian Uprising in 1956.
Gill wrote: "Hi Tytti, welcome. There's plenty here for you to join in with!"First I should finish at least a couple of the books I have already started... They are not bad books by any means, it's just me. :-)
