Hi to all from NSW Australia. I read all sorts of things, and it sounds as if you do, too. I look forward to following the discussions.
Hello ladies, I'm Connie, living in Italy with hubby, 3 dogs and 1 horse. Our house is full of books !! Hope to hear from you !!

I've deleted your last post, since you have asked us to disregard it, plus we have a strict policy of no self promotion in this group.

Hi Connie! Another Italian!
Where exactly do you live?
Owing a horse as well, that's rather peculiar. But aren't we all a little weird???

I'm in Italy also but doing weekly commute to the UK at the weekends, so lots of time to read whilst awaiting for delayed flights at Malpensa airport
Great John, you're staying in Milan since you're flying from Malpensa?
And where in UK do you coomute? London?

Welcome John. I wonder how Malpensa airport got it's name. I suspect it was named after someone. It surely could not have been given that name in the abstract because if one breaks down the compound "malpensa" into the stems "mal" and "pensa" it means bad thoughts. LOL. Surely one can't fly out of an airport named "bad thoughts."By the way, my one experience with Malpensa airport was a trip to Italy in December where I was supposed to land in Malpensa, but the fog was so incredible - the plane made a couple of attempts at landing but always pulled up - that it had to be redirected over to Genoa, and then they bused us back to Milan. Supposedly the fog there can be extremely thick.
Wow, there's a lot of people from around the world here!! :D My name's Alice (like Wonderland - yes, for real, not just on Goodreads, that's my name) and I'm originally from the States but I'm on a visit to Canada right now. It's so beautiful here! (although a piece of me, after reading these posts, wishes *I* could live in Italy with all y'all....hm....#nexttrip ;) I like classic novels and dystopian/sci-fi stuff but right now I'm mostly just reading whatever is around - gotta get through all those books I found on shopping sprees at B&N ;)
Welcome Alice! Lucky you you're in Canada, a place I'd love to visit.
And Manny: I've always wondered about the name Malpensa. And yes, fog there can be thik indeed

Welcome Alice! As a fellow American, I too sometimes get envious of all the great places our members live in or visit *grin*. But it is fun hearing (and sometimes seeing via pictures posted) about them.
I've been in Goodreads for a while but never looked closely at the groups. I'm a heavy reader that is about to take a crack at trying to publish something, so I need to do some reader research and then find some Betas.
Welcome Jeff! Good luck with your attempt to publish but please beware that we have a strict no-promotion policy here at AAB (so no 'reader research' here please).

Which part of Canada are you visiting? I'm Canadian born and raised, although when I got married I moved to the States since my husband wasn't interested in moving to Canada and I'd lived in the States before.
