Thanks, Laura & Leslie! I was in a book club that recently disbanded. I loved the variety of books we read and found myself reading authors I'd never heard of & discovering great new books (and having wonderful discussions about old favorites). I'm looking forward to that here!

Seems most likely.

Carol, I also volunteer tutoring children, through the School on Wheels program in my case. I've tutored a special needs teenager (17) through their program for the past …And I enjoy reading poetry as well. Who are some poets you enjoy?

First, and foremost KEATS . . .
* John Keats's Ode to a Nightingale:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3afZ... and much more.

I might join, it looks like an interesting group!"

Please accept my apology all for confusing groups! (Inadvertent error on my part because of an app I was using in email.)

All About Books is the BEST group I know of for serious discussion about an amazing range of books and poetry. I love this group and I'm very happy to be a member!!

Leslie | 16369 comments No worries Tejas Janet! I, at least, was just confused thinking YLTO might be some internet shorthand that I didn't know! I am generally far behind the times in those things...

message 1959: by Megan (new)

Megan Hi - my name is Megan. I live in New Zealand, with my two sons who have somehow grown to be 20 and 16 years of age - this is ridiculous, because they were only tiny the other day! And my lovely husband, Jeff.
I am an avid but somewhat sporadic reader, so when I have time to read I like to have a lot of choices in front of me. In the last couple of days, I have read The Goldfinch, The Paris Architect, and The Rosie Effect, and I am reading The Mockingbird Next Door: Life with Harper Lee at the moment. The Paris Architect was unexpectedly good.
I am especially pleased that you also read plays and poetry, and I look forward to participating in discussions.
