Hello Everyone,I am Wendy and live in Hamilton Ontario Canada, west of Toronto. I begin to pace if I do not have a book to read, although I usually have two going at the same time.
Hey everyone! My name is Piret and I'm from Estonia. My favourite genre is fantasy but I like to read many different genres.
Welcome Piret and Tammie. I've seen you already around and I'm glad of it. Hope you'll feel at home here

William Carlos Williams sounds like a very interesting poet, I just read a few of his poems available online. Is there a collection you'd recommend particularly?

Margaret, I love William Carlos Williams! I've read Pictures from Brueghel and Other Poems: Collected Poems, 1950-1962 more than once - such a wonderful book! Do you have a favorite book or collection by him?
So excited to have yet another poetry lover joining the group and poetry discussions! The poetry threads were one of my original attractions to the group too!

Haha Greg, I went straight for this one when trying to figure out which of his book I'd like to try, I can hardly ever resist references to art with poetry, even if it may prove to just be in the title.
Thanks Margaret! I haven't read Paterson yet; it looks & sounds great!
Jenny and Margaret, Pictures from Brueghel and Other Poems: Collected Poems, 1950-1962 has a some very long poems that are difficult to understand completely, but I find them striking & quite beautiful. I love the book and my experience of it deepens more every time I read it. Now I'm curious to see how Paterson differs - I will definitely read that one sometime soon!

There's many books I love but one what comes to my mind first is series named The secrets of the immortal Nicholas Flamel.
Welcome Margaret! I remember liking William Carlos Williams back in my school days -- I should refresh my memory :)

Sorry for not answering sooner, I didn´t have my notifications on!
I live on an island south of Iceland called Vestmannaeyjar. Very small island with a little over 4000 people and absolutely beautiful :-)
What did you get to see of Iceland?

I don't understand this comment. This is a group of READERS not AUTHORS so this comment seems inappropriate. Am I misunderstanding something?

Oh, I've just looked where you live up. It says that Surtsey is one of the group of islands. I remember when that appeared.
I came on what was a walking holiday, Ella. So I did visit Reykavik, and Gullfoss and the Blue Lagoon, and Þingvellir and the touristy bits, but most days were spent walking. I can't remember the names of most of the places, but I remember going to some cliffs with puffins, I think on the west coast, and also to a national park. We stayed in a farm guesthouse.

So you have seen the most common tourist places here.
Did you like the trip?

Lol, read mess. 1931 and there was another one like this in another discussion. I know that some messages can't be seen for many reasons but sometimes I have the impression that some people just write without taking part in the discussion and they don't read the comments of the other members.
Devi wrote: "@leslie and @delyI apologize. I assumed it to be a place to share reviews as well"
Of course but you asked in more than one message if someone wanted his books to be reviewed ;-) There aren't authors here, only readers so we share reviews of books we have read.

But authors read it too coz I do end up getting some requests after that. I know it must feel strange but its a personal experience

I know it must feel strange but its a personal experience "Yes, it sounds very strange in a group of readers above all because it's plenty of groups by authors that are looking for beta readers and reviews. Well, I however hope you will become an active member of this group sharing your opinions with us ;-)

Of course they do! But if they're here, they act as readers and NOT as authors!!!

Welcome Desirée! There are a few Italians in the group. Where do you live in Italy?
I'm Marylee MacDonald. I live in Tempe, AZ, where it has finally cooled down enough to enjoy walks in the Desert Botanical Garden. I enjoy discovering books by small presses and new writers, but I also love the classics.
Hi, My name is Beth and I live in Virginia,USA. I searched book clubs and this one seems to be just what I was hoping for. I look forward to group reads, discussions and a new challenge in 2015.
Hi. My name is Lori and I live in Dallas, Texas. I love to read and love my long-time book club, but would like to try expanding into more online discussions with like-minded readers. I like the format and hope to start getting involved in a few of the group reads. I'm gearing up for my new year's resolution, I guess - trying new things.Looking forward to chatting with you!
