Where do you come from Lucia? In the UK there are lots of options for cheap book delivery but that won't help if you are elsewhere

I just finished a term paper and instead of writing the next one, guess what I am doing? Correct. Giving myself more bulletin board posts to read. It'll be a while before I catch up to what's what.

About me? Oh, yeah, that. I'm a married, Israeli, graduate student in psycholinguistics, which actually makes me a scientist. I love books, cats, music, and cool evenings with occasional hails of explosions. Also, travelling, encyclopedias, wine, and arguments to the death. My favourite authors are Leon feuchtwanger, Mikhail Bulgakov, Stanislav Lem, Arkadi and Boris Strugatsky, Mary Doria Russel, Terry Pratchett, Raymond Chandler, Evelyn Waugh, Vladimir Nabokov and... I need to stop. Now.

I love books. With stories in them. That's all.

No, but, seriously. Lem is amazing. Just, really, full stop. So are all the others. Of course, that's why they're my favourites. Though I have no idea how his English (or Italian, for that matter) translations fare.

There are good translations for Lem (that is what I learnt). I may read him sooner as I am these days exploring East - European and Scandinavian Literature. Thanks again for the recommendation.

Hello! My name is Leanna. I was born and raised in a small town in Mississippi but now I call Edgewood, New Mexico home. I read a variety of fiction and non-fiction; everything from the classics to thrillers to - just recently - the zombie apocalypse, even how-to's and biographies. ;) I believe books are the gateway to a mental voyage, of sorts, and a place of learning.
