Hi everybody, I'm here to find out some new good books to read. Also I was wondering if anybody here have some good tips for cheap books delivered worldwide???
Where do you come from Lucia? In the UK there are lots of options for cheap book delivery but that won't help if you are elsewhere
Jenny wrote: "Hi Lucia and welcome. http://bookdepository.com/ has free delivery world wide."I second it.
Hello! My name is Maggie, and I am from Muskoka, Ontario. I have been a voracious reader of all things literary for as long as I can remember! Newly married, my hubby has made me my very own bookcase with a ladder that encircles the room! I still have some spaces open, so I am looking for suggestions. :)
Hi everyone!! I'm Hannah and I love to read-obviously! :) I love discussing books and getting new suggestions from other book lovers! :)
Welcome Maggie, Jung-Sook, and Hannah!Maggie, that bookcase sounds amazing! Reminds me of Belle on her library ladder in Beauty and the Beast :P
Whoa stopped by here for a quick rain check and found lots of new members again! Welcome everyone. Please forgive me if I seem to ignore or miss your postings. Just not enough time in the day! I tend to haunt the just for fun pages at the moment trying to encourage folks to contribute to my favourite games! Have fun with Goodreads your friendly book club that's in everybody's neighbourhood but that unlike the local corner shop does not charge exorbitant prices and always has some friendly face around somewhere who is happy to spend a little time chatting with you.
Hi! I like reading book in general though my major is medicine. This is my first time joining such online book club. I 'm still figuring out how to keep up with it. However, following reading some posts, I think everyone here is good people who want to share and help out. Thanks!
Hi Oudam! Welcome! I hope you enjoy it here. Have a look at the discussion from the group's home page. I think the trick is to just find and follow the threads which interest you. I spend lots of time on here, but no way could I keep up with everything ;)
Jung-Sook, Hannah & Oudam! Welcome! Take your time to look around or jump right in, I hope you'll enjoy it here and feel free to ask should you get lost!

*sneak sneak*H-h-hello?
I just finished a term paper and instead of writing the next one, guess what I am doing? Correct. Giving myself more bulletin board posts to read. It'll be a while before I catch up to what's what.
About me? Oh, yeah, that. I'm a married, Israeli, graduate student in psycholinguistics, which actually makes me a scientist. I love books, cats, music, and cool evenings with occasional hails of explosions. Also, travelling, encyclopedias, wine, and arguments to the death. My favourite authors are Leon feuchtwanger, Mikhail Bulgakov, Stanislav Lem, Arkadi and Boris Strugatsky, Mary Doria Russel, Terry Pratchett, Raymond Chandler, Evelyn Waugh, Vladimir Nabokov and... I need to stop. Now.
I love books. With stories in them. That's all.
Welcome Genia and Ella.....I wish you well as well as other new members to have a good time.@ Genia: Among the authors mentioned I have been contemplating to read Stanislaw Lem and Evelyn Waugh.

Yessss. Read, reeeead them, my preciousssss.
No, but, seriously. Lem is amazing. Just, really, full stop. So are all the others. Of course, that's why they're my favourites. Though I have no idea how his English (or Italian, for that matter) translations fare.
There are good translations for Lem (that is what I learnt). I may read him sooner as I am these days exploring East - European and Scandinavian Literature. Thanks again for the recommendation.
Hello! My name is Leanna. I was born and raised in a small town in Mississippi but now I call Edgewood, New Mexico home. I read a variety of fiction and non-fiction; everything from the classics to thrillers to - just recently - the zombie apocalypse, even how-to's and biographies. ;) I believe books are the gateway to a mental voyage, of sorts, and a place of learning. Books have always been my friend in this world that can be daunting at times. Happy Reading! :)

Whereabouts in Iceland do you live Ella? I came there on a walking holiday some years ago.
I'm Rosie and I love to read. I'm published, but reading is what got me there and it is what I do when I am procrastinating, which is ALL THE TIME! I'm always looking for new authors to add to my list of favorites.

I've been wondering what happened. You have a new kitten! Yay, new kitten. She's adorable. I'm reading Italian books now, you'd be proud. I have Baricco sitting on my shelf waiting for a good time.
Hi Everyone... I joined the group a while back, and have been meaning to stop by to say "hello." I love to learn about books from other readers. My favorite genres tend to be classics, magical realism, memoirs, and some other nonfiction. I look forward to getting better acquainted and sharing views about books.
