I'm Ann and I love to read a wide variety of books-literary fiction, historical fiction, classics, mysteries, science fiction and non fiction. I'm retired and live in Santa Barbara, Califor..."
Ann, "no vampire romances yeah!" Exactly! Yeah!

Everyone seems lovely, friendly and welcoming, other Forums I've been on in the past have been cliquey, catty, and rude.. Not to say that I'm perfect and definitely have a bit of a grump on sometimes (I blame my red hair for that). :-)

Welcome Jamie. Isn't that true? I want to chat with people who share my interest (reading) but do NOT need to share my taste. Different opinions open my mind. But some groups seem to want everyone to think the same. (And if you don't you get 'flamed') Others are groups of people who each just want to tell everyone else what they know- they are all 'self-appointed' authorities.
So far this group feels very comfortable.

Hi Teo, glad to see you here.
WHere are you from?
I hope to see around chatting about books: we've open discussions about Middlesex, The Drinking Den, Vertigo and Stoner in a little while, only mentioning those I remember!

Hi my name is Janessa! I am a college student trying to earn a Bachelor's Degree in theatre design. I already have an Associates Of Arts Degree in theatre. I love books and will spend every chance I get reading them. I also enjoy the arts, and watching movies.
