I'm especially excited that The Republic is on your "Currently Reading" list (seems like I found this group at the perfect time!). I've had this book on my nightstand for a few months but it seems like it was forever relegated to my "to read later" list. I look forward to chatting about this book, meeting some fellow book-lovers, and broadening my reading horizons! :)

Hello everyone! My name is Megan, I live in the U.S. with my 3 year old German Shepherd, my mustang gelding and my shelves of books. :) Reading came about quite naturally, both sides of my family are avid readers. On my dad's side there is the unwritten rule that if you leave a book out, someone else will have picked it up and be reading it when you get back to it! Looking forward to having somewhere to discuss books.

Couples of times, when as kid in the Gargano; in high school for a school tripp and two years ago with husband and kids in Easter - the best period to visit Italy in general - from Barletta to Lecce. Enchanting places ...
And you? Have you ever been to Umbria?

Yes...it once on a school trip 8 or 9 years ago. I visited Perugia and Gubbio. Very beautiful city where you can eat very well. There are nice landscapes and you have the beautiful castles and medieval alleys

I'm Kayla. I live in Las Vegas, NV by way of Southern California. I have like many of you, been an avid reader for as long as I can remember. I am a bookkeeper for a local law firm, though unfortunately it has nothing to do with actual "books" much to my dismay lol. I'm 26 years old and married to man of my dreams for two years now, though we've been together for 8 years. I look forward to getting to know you all. I tend to lurk because most of my free time is spent with my nose in a book and I find it way to easy to lose a good couple of hours on this site that I could have spent reading lol, but I do tend to hop on and join in a couple times a week. :-)
