I'm Colleen, married with 4 children,I love to read and get lost in a book"
Welcome Colleen!

Welcome Giorgiaelisa. Definitly you're in good company for the amount of books owned: I'm in the middle of moving into a new house and THE problem is where to put all my books. And the flat in almost 200 square meters! Thanks God they've invented ebooks! Where exactly in Italy do you live? I'm from Perugia

Haha! So peace and quiet for you! Extra reading time!. I'm so glad your house is so lovely Laura :)

I was looking at groups to join and noticed that several of my Goodreads friends are here - Tracey , Beth, and Jean so I knew this would be a good place to be . I have been a Goodreads member for several years , but have only been involved in groups for less than a year and I really enjoy the interaction with other people who love to read . Looking forward to the conversations here .

Welcome Tina! You have a problem common to many of us :)

Welcome Tina!!! This problem is about the same for all of us, and I have to say that since I'm here it has worsened a lot!!!! Thank God they invented ebooks: at least they don't take room in the house!!!!

Welcome Tina, I share your "problem" I love cataloguing my books and collecting sets and I noticed I have some days when I prefer sorting to reading! I find the goodreads book club really gets me back to reading and enjoying books! Do you want to tell us about your job it profession?

Hello Angela, good to see you. Have fun!

Ha ha! You are definitely right for this group then! We seem to have quite a few Italian members. Look forward to catching up with you around the threads.

Welcome Colleen with a name like that I am guessing you have Irish roots ....

Hello Brenda! 20 books a week! That's pretty amazing but I guess if you are writing a novel and doing a book blog you need to keep ahead of the game!
Welcome to the group.

Hi Laura so glad your move has gone well and hope you are settling in to your new community. :) :)

We have, haven't we? And a thank for your lovely comment!

Lol Leann yes I do believe we all have a lot to say on our favorite topic...

Oh Tina! I too like yourself, Laura T and innumerable other members have the same problem trouble is with me though they're all physical books and mostly hardback which I love but I am always loathe to part with.

It changes with time and my mood - right now I am into Charles de Lint. However, that descriptor (magical realism) is one I am unsure about so I don't know if this is a good example...

Welcome Leann. Your books are not the ones I generally read: an occasion to broaden my interests!!!
P.S: Thanks Tracey: we are a great group because of all of you together!!!

I loved the magical realism created in novel(s) by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Juan Rulfo and Italo Calvino.
Will have to try Alice Hoffman. Welcome.
