Welcome Kara and Patches! HAPPY HALLOWEEN ALL!
Hello all, I'm Jackie, my lovely GR pal Jean recommended this group & I'm very glad she did! I opened the group home page & immediately thought 'ooh, I've been meaning to read girl interrupted for ages!' - and I'd only heard about Rosalind Franklin in the last couple of years & have been keen to learn more, so that was a pretty amazing start! I'm a lifelong bookworm & chatterbox (Jean will confirm!). Originally a Geordie, grew up in the Midlands, and have spent most of my adult life in South Wales - very happily settled & lucky to be in lovely Pembrokeshire. I'm mostly a fiction freak, just can't resist a good tale, but I do read some non-fiction & aim to read more - I always think it's going to be dry or boring, but some of my favourite books have been non-fiction so I need to get over it! Fiction wise I enjoy literary fiction, and i like to try a variety of genres - and a good crime/thriller is a fave guilty pleasure, even if its a bit trashy! I'm also partial to a bit of poetry, and I'm addicted to radio 4, especially plays/dramas/any book related content! Oh, and I'm mad for animals, got a neurotic border collie cross & a lab x poodle, and an ancient cat, all rescues & ridiculously spoilt!
Nice to meet you Jackie. I'm Amber from TN. I hope you have fun at the all about books book club! feel free to join us in the threads and the readalongs too.
Welcome Chatterjak! I recognise you from The Book Vipers!I've been meaning to explore some of the Radio 4 drama readings! You can set up a thread about it if you want :)
I hope you have fun here!
