Traveller (moontravlr) | 1850 comments I enjoyed City of Saints and Madmen. My next one might be Finch

Joseph Michael Owens (jm_owens) | 106 comments You might want to go with SHRIEK next; they're a trilogy I believe: http://www.goodreads.com/series/68277...

Traveller (moontravlr) | 1850 comments Ah, you mean Shriek before Finch. Finch's premise seemed intriguing, but I see what you mean, it's third in the series, so Shriek, being second, would make more sense.

Have you read them?

Joseph Michael Owens (jm_owens) | 106 comments I haven't but Finch had been in my radar for a LONG time; technically I've started City of Saints and Madmen, but didn't realize it was part of a series. Now I'm inclined to read them 1,2,3 haha!

Traveller (moontravlr) | 1850 comments City of Saints is fun. Not sure if you've checked out my meview yet. http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/... I should probably expand and update it a bit...

Magdelanye | 174 comments isn't there a dedicated thread to this book? After months it finally has come through the inter- library loan system!
because of all the fuss, I am givin it my attention, well prepped by the last two books I've gobbled...which you folks really must consider: the glorious 419, and the disturbing and haunting generation loss ( for the creep factor) by Elizabeth Hand. this may not be her best work, but I notice I resonate with fucked up narrators who make it thru without giving up core priciples

Magdelanye | 174 comments plus, wondering if any of the commentators here followed up with finch and shriek. are these the same clowns that showed up in Never where?

message 8: by Traveller (last edited Oct 15, 2015 02:48AM) (new)

Traveller (moontravlr) | 1850 comments Magdelanye, at the beginning of the year, I started a discussion for it over at On Paths, here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

...but then my other commitments totally overcame me, and to my great sadness, the discussion dropped because I simply didn't have the time for it.

Still busy right now, but if you'd be okay with just posting in the 2 opening threads for now, and waiting for me until Tuesday, (October 20), then I will most happily join you. Plus we can see if we can raise interest for it again amongst some of the others there. :)

No, I don't think they're the same as in Neverwhere. ...but I own copies of those as well, and would love to do them as well! So, don't go away, i am most definitely interested! :):)

PS. If you like creepiness and kinda messed up narrators, you are going to adore City of Saints - I hope so, anyway....

I would assume you are thinking of Croup and Vandemar.
