Vicky (librovert) I've done a preliminary fit of all the books we've read so far.

I started by filling in our our minimum 33 books from the Book a Day Challenge using some of the more easily verifiable options (covers, things that are clear from book descriptions, authors, series, etc). I figure this will be less work for the mods to double check.

I've filled in the full Author A-Z challenge except for X and Y.

In the decades challenge I have room for the following:

2003 - 2
2004 - 4
2005 - 5
2006 - 5
2007 - 7
2008 - 7
2009 - 7
2010 - 9
2011 - 10
2012 - 11
2013 - 9

Because of all the options we have between the three challenges we have 220 slots open for our last 29 books. We'll have plenty of room to fit them in without shuffling too much. :D

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) So do you no longer need books for any of the days? I picked up a book that's on the read by 30 link from the library today. But I'll put it aside for now if we no longer need that one.

I am finishing up 2006 & 2013 romances tonight & tomorrow. And a mystery audiobook that I can't figure out if it was originally published in 2008 or 2009. The September Society eta: looks like 2008.

Marianne Weber | 47 comments I was curious and looked around for free kindle books with authors with X and found some history books by Xenophon (ancient greek). Ill keep looking around but if no others pop up ill work on that. Some of the books look pretty interesting!

message 155: by Karsyn (new)

Karsyn (imzadi) Hi ladies. :) Checking in.

I'm reading the newest J.D. Robb, so that's a 2013 for me, plus there were 2 other books that just came out Tues that I plan on reading as well. Then when I go back to the book I was reading, before the new ones came out, it's a 2009.

I've read 25%, so I'm getting very little read. :) I'll finish it up on Fri at the latest.

You can still read that one! We've fulfilled all our minimum requirements, so anything else we read can fit in anywhere it fits.

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) Okie Dokie. That's my in car audio book for now. It's short.

message 158: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) Well I ended up getting a book for day #30 in unexpectedly tonight. I finished up a romance anthology and the hero of one story was going through a little "where's my life going" crisis over turning 30.

message 159: by Sarah (last edited Sep 18, 2013 08:19PM) (new)

Sarah | 135 comments I will be reading The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and Insurgent (Divergent, #2) by Veronica Roth good for 2005 and 2012

message 160: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 135 comments I thought the Mods said for X it just had to be in the authors name?

Vicky (librovert) Sarah wrote: "I thought the Mods said for X it just had to be in the authors name?"

Yes, this is correct.

message 162: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 135 comments OK just got another 2012 book added for the decades challenge. Have four of my five completed. I will at least get two more completed and then I have two chunksters I am half way through that I keep putting off that I can maybe finish, unless I read another one instead:)

message 163: by Vicky (new)

Vicky (librovert) Did a quickie update of how many books everyone has read.

Riya made it to her goal, yay!

Imke made it to her goal plus 2, double yay!

Only 19 books to go! :D

message 164: by Imke (new)

Imke (immie75) Yes, I'm done and ready to go on a relaxing holiday in Turkey.

message 165: by Marianne (last edited Sep 20, 2013 06:14AM) (new)

Marianne Weber | 47 comments 10 days to read 19 books. I know its early but it looks like we've got this in the bag!!! :D

Today I should be finishing up Fever 1793 and Dauntless. Don't know what to read next- I am still way behind on the overall challenge so I need to keep this pace up!

message 166: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) Oh I'm jealous. Have fun Imke.

I expect to finish another one today to help me catch up. I don't have much going on next week and should be able to boost my count if I pick some short books.

message 167: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) Would you rather we focused on years or days?

message 168: by Vicky (new)

Vicky (librovert) It honestly doesn't matter. We have plenty of room in both categories.

message 169: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) Starting a mystery audiobook from 2008. Not sure what days it will fit yet. It's set in 1880's Instanbul.

message 170: by Vicky (new)

Vicky (librovert) Did another quickie update.

We are at 97/99 books! Almost done. :D

Brooke and Sarah both met their goals, congrats!

message 171: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) OK I fell short of my goal but since others went over we are still good right?

I do plan on finishing more books this month. Should I post them to the finished thread anyway? I just listed one finished and I saw that Andrea had finished 2 since you posted that we were at 97.

Planning on finishing an audiobook today.

message 172: by Vicky (new)

Vicky (librovert) Yes, we are good.

I just did an update and am getting the spreadsheet ready to send to the mods for approval!

If you want to keep reading to meet your goal (or keep reading over your goal) feel free to post in the other thread through the end of the month. I won't be adding the book information to the list, so you don't have to list that, but I will update your Books Read on the spreadsheet. Up to you.

message 173: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) I won't bother to then. I just wanted to make sure to hit my goal if it affected our score. I did finish another audiobook today.

Of course I plan to keep reading for the last week of September. But now I know I don't have to kill myself getting 7 more books in by the end of the month.

message 174: by Marianne (new)

Marianne Weber | 47 comments Awesome! Great job guys!

message 175: by Riya (new)

Riya September Challenge is over :D
And we met our goal- which means points!!! :)
