Review: This Kindle “freebie” was better than I thought it was going to be, which kicks it up another 1/2 star. The story is really a novella, but it held my interest and I liked the H/h and enjoyed their dialogue. I wasn't too crazy about the setting of their last love scene, but **shrugs** that's me. Otherwise it wrapped up nicely for a short reading.

Verdict: I'll definitely read more by this “new-2-me” author.

Pure & Sinful by Killian McRae

Review

A woman who recently found out that she is the key to a trio of demon hunters has to hunt down her ex-boyfriend and other demons while lusting after nearly everyone she meets (or so it seems). The potential for a romantic/sexual relationship with a priest who is a member of the trio puts them at risk of being damned and makes them catnip for Lucifer.

There is a lot of lusting but little sex. Some cruelty that then leads to people lusting after each other (what?). And some lust that is mistaken for love. There is no character development, and many of the good guys are thinly fleshed out. It's readable, but not interesting or engaging.

Verdict: Not terrible but not worth it

Rating :3.5 stars

Review:
It was a short fun read but it was too short for a paranormal romance . It needed world building and lots of it ! There was some twists and turns to make it interesting . The ending was rushed . It was a good read with only 84 pages .

Verdict: Worth reading

It drives me crazy that an author can call 84 pages a book. Traditional publishers gauge 250 words as the average per page which means 84 pages is only 21,000 words. That's not even a novella!

Review:
This audiobook was narrated by 12 narrators . Each short story has its own narrator which makes the whole thing very interesting . I haven't read anything by this author or the series and I didn't have any problems understating what was what or who was who.
They were so goooood . I do recommend them to fantasy readers and people who are looking for something different !

Verdict: Definitely worth listening .

Here is a comment from Gisela "Nothing's happened, this could've been titled "101 Ways to Get an Orgasm Without Penetration" .
Here is one from me :"We didn't know anything about either of them. The whole book was just a big sex scene. You know like the porn movies :D You see 2 actors having sex but you don't know anything about them !"

I think enough is said .

Review: So I picked this up because it is set on my island and the premise was interesting. During her wedding reception heroine catches her husband with one of her bffs in a closet. Then goes on her honeymoon with her other bff's brother. Of course I picked it up. Sadly the book didn't live up to it's promise. This review sums up how I felt about this book. Considering all the 5 stars reviews this book has you might enjoy it more than I did.

Verdict: Read at your own risk!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I have one of a vegan cookbook I need to do. Here was a recipe:
- cook brocoli in salted water (doesn't say how much water or brocoli or for how long)
- make pasta (no suggestions on type or how long to cook)
- plate and put tomato sauce on top (I don't think it even said to heat it, LOL!)
If that gets you a cookbook, then I need to write one!

Being a huge fan of the Amish books I found this one to be a little blah. The author couldn't make up her mind if the characters were Amish or Mennonite. There are similarities but also BIG differences in the two groups. This character was from this district and that one from another and ten more from this that or the other district, sometimes just a big ball of confusion to have to keep up with in the storyline. If you aren't familiar with the Mennonites/Amish then this could be a little confusing for you. The dialogue & actions of the characters was a little misleading as it didn't always ring true to the cultures of either Mennonites or Amish. This book was actually a spin-off of The Taming of the Shrew which IMO the author didn't do a great job of it. One thing that really kind of jumped on my last nerve a little was one horrible pun.....the set of twins were named Melvin and Marvin and throughout the whole book, pretty much, they were called M & M ROLLING EYES

IF you are looking for a quick easy read, it's ok but don't expect anything spectacular.

IF you are new to the Amish Fiction, please stay away from this one until a later date as it may turn you against the genre. There are much better authors who write in this genre.

I wasn't impressed by this book. There were a few interesting facts/things that caught my attention but they were few and far between. IF this book is meant to offer hope or advice for individuals who think they may be married to sex addict, look some where else as it could be depressing. I am not sure that some of the things that went on in this particular marriage all stem from a sexual addiction. A lot of it sounded more like sexual abuse as well as other abusive type behaviors. Just not my cuppa tea and I would have to say SKIP THIS ONE.
