I am not sure if I tied the correct book to the genre and if I just couldn’t decide I put two. My first inclination for #1 was a book where we were the invading aliens, for that I would have chosen The Color of Distance by Amy Thomson. Doing this list made me see that I seem to like certain authors and that they constantly find their way in to my favorites, I will surely miss Michael Crichton. I am really looking forward to reading everyone's list and finding new and interesting books to read.

Haven't read much in the sub-genre in years, possibly decades, nor really am I much of a fan. Do remember rather liking Deathworld 1 and its sequels, however.

Not a fan of the sub-genre at all, sorry. I did like Fitzpatrick's War, though I'm not sure if that qualifies.

Being poor, I go to the library. So I get what's available. It might be months or even a year before I actually get to read what's on my TBR list.

* - Like even that silly novel whose title I've forgotten where the entire world is at war with the USA circa 2040 or so over Clinton era anti-smoking policies. With a geriatric Bill Clinton still alive and appearing as a main character, to boot. And, yes, time travel somewhere in there, too. To the 1960s, IIRC.
