Wow! You are so fast Lindsey. I have to finish Ender's Game. I am almost done but I probably won't be able to start Silence until evening. I will post my thoughts as I read though.

I have only read the prologue but I hate Hank at the moment.

I finished Ender's Game. I need a few hours before I read again. My eyes hurt. I am going to take my time with this one though. I hope you don't mind. I have been racing so much with the challenges, that I just need a bit of a breather. I hope you will still discuss it with me though.

Okay I started but I have only read the first three chapters. (view spoiler)[ I like that the author has given some background of what happened to Nora through her conversation with Vee. It has been a long time since I read the first two books, so my memory is a little hazy. I can't remember why she is so nervous around Officer Bassco. This is a book that is going to be easy to slip back into. I remember I really liked the first two books and already have a good feeling for this one. I can't believe that someone who was kidnapped and can't remember 5 months of her life would go creeping around a graveyard in the middle of the night on her first night home. That is just crazy. It was pretty creepy too coming back to the note on her pillow. (hide spoiler)]

I don't like Hank either! How can someone do that to his daughter. I am reading two other books right now, so I will probably just read a few chapters a day but I will always comment on what I read.

I'm still on chapter one - the kids I nanny stayed longer. But they are gone now so I will pick it back up soon!

I have finished up to chapter 11 now but am going to stop and go back to one of my other two books. (view spoiler)[ I would be spit fire mad if my mom was dating my greatest school enemy's dad! That would be so hard to see them together. I can just imagine the family outings with the girl she dislikes most in school. Going out and having to pretend to be happy for my mom. Nora's visions are interesting. She has had two now. I would freak out seeing Hank in my vision. At least she will see him for the crazy person she is. I wonder how long it will take for her to piece everything together. Did she have visions in the other books? It has been too long, I don't remember. They would be freaky. How awkward for Marcie to find out about her dad and Nora's mom while out for dinner. At least Marcie filled her in on some of the past, although not completely accurately but gave her some bits and pieces. The scene from the 7-11 was scary. How does she get herself into these situations? I think I would go crazy...people turning into bears, someone trying to kill me, people with crowbars in their backs not getting hurt. She remembers the word Nephilim, but she doesn't remember what it means. Don't laugh at me but....Jev is Patch right? He is acting very Patch like and even calling her Angel. Or is Jev a character from the other books and I just can't remember him? (hide spoiler)]

So I'm on chapter 20 and enjoying it!

I think I am on chapter 27 and still loving it. (view spoiler)[ I can't believe that Scott is wearing the ring and being dragged into its power again. That just sucks because it probably means he is going to ruin everything. Obviously something bad will happen at the homecoming event he is taking Nora to. She needs to tell Patch about him and the ring. I am glad we can call him Patch again. I didn't like the name Jev. That was a great moment when he brought Nora to his home and she realized that he was Patch.

Nora does a lot of really stupid things, such as going to the graveyard at the beginning of the book, going to the 7-11 and then not leaving when she had the chance, and then a few chapters ago going to Hank's warehouse alone, in the middle of the night. I just want to smack her for being so reckless. These are not normal men. She has no hope against them. Why keep putting herself and Patch in danger like that.

So who stole Nora's purse and what was the point of it. I assume Hank looking for the necklace. I wish they would figure things out.

Hank is ultra creepy. The mind tricks he plays are awful. It surprises me that he can do it against Nora, when she is so aware of it. There should be a way to block it, if you know it is happening. What does Hank have planned for Nora and her mom. Surely it is something key for that special night where the Angels take over the Nephilim's bodies and probably using the devilcraft. I wonder how much Hank knows about Nora right now. Does he know that she is on to him?

I have a prediction, since we are nearing the end of the book. Nora is going to invite Marcie over to "find" the necklace. I predict that she is going to find the feather that Nora found at the beginning of the book and that it is Patch's. I think Hank will send Patch to hell with the feather and book 4 will be getting Patch out of hell and back with Nora forever. (hide spoiler)]

I'm almost at chapter 27, on 24 so when I get there I will read what you wrote. But I'm enjoying this one.
