Oh no! That's not good! I don't even have this one as an ebook yet, which is the copy that I need it in, so I'm not starting it yet anyway.
No you're not! Just means we can still read it together XD You planning on reading it soon?
Just read another 2% because it's the book on my phone and I didn't have another one with me.

I don't know how I'll go with this one, I've been in a bit of a slump lately and I have a busy week coming up but I will try! I'm starting tomorrow morning
okay I'm around 67% through. I'll finish it pretty soon xD I read it on break at work so I'm definitely getting it done this month
Hi! Is it too late for me to join the buddy read for Ready Player One? Who's reading, by the way? :)
No way you can join :D I'm almost finished XD Started a while ago. Haven't been posting updates though. Was gonna just reply to yours lol.
Incredible! Definitely completely 5 stars!! Post as often as you want, I'll definitely reply to all of your spoilers haha.
Thanks! I definitely want to start tonight but I'm worried about being able to finish soon since my school is starting tomorrow :)
I'm like 20% in but I'm kind of shocked about how well I'm dealing with the constant references. I was really expecting to just be lost but I actually understand some of them because of my friend's month long obsession with the 80s and just general pop culture which is really great, that was one of my biggest concerns starting this.
I'm about 20% into the book as well. I wish I understood more but thankfully, not understanding the pop culture references hasn't really been slowing me down. Wade does lots of explaining :)
I'm one-third of the way through and I do really like the quests that Halliday created but thus far there hasn't been any real "conflict". Everything comes quite naturally and easily to Wade, which is probably a testament to how smart he is but because of the lack of conflict, the story is falling a little flat for me. I still really enjoy reading about all the challenges though! The author is really creative
Haha just wait for the second half. Mind posting some spoilers? So that I can respond to them and can count it as a buddy read?
Yeah for sure! I'm at the part where (view spoiler). I'm starting the second half now so I hope there's going to be more struggle and conflict. I don't feel like the actions of the COO Sixer guy (Noren?) had much of an impact on me (view spoiler). Since that place was never developed, I had no real emotional connection and it was just kind of a "oh okay" moment.
I finished!!! Wow. Okay so I want to get it out of the way that the book felt unfinished in the way that (view spoiler). I mean it wasn't a bad ending but I guess I just feel a little unfulfilled... not too sure why though. But oh man, the action is so intense! Especially all the stuff going on around the Third Gate-that was really awesome. How did everyone else enjoy the book?
Oh my gosh you read that really quickly! I won't be finishing it off for a few days probably. Still trying to slog my way through my current read which is really boring.
Haha yeah I'm still too jetlagged to do actual work so I just decided to read :) plus I'm not really good with reading more than one book at a time
I just finished it XD And KD's finished. I've still gotta write a review for it, but holy cow definitely a 5 star!!! One of my favourites!
Yeah I'd love to read your review! I'm posting my review this afternoon on my blog and I can link it here too :)
Review: Holy shit this book is totally incredible!! The twists, the action, the complexity of it all! I loved the concept of the OASIS, the way that it was set up, all of the real games and real movies and books and songs and everything. I just wished I knew the 80s so that I could relate more. Finding out that (view spoiler) That was a totally jaw-dropping moment. And also the moment when (view spoiler) For once I was pleased that Wade was so lucky. Normally I just facepalm, but this was just incredible. I grinned. And then when (view spoiler) I looooved this book to the ends of the earth. Definitely one of my favourites.
