I'll discuss it here if you want to. I read the threads after I finish each section and yes, that's some deep love. I don't plan on going that in-depth, just discussing my feelings and observations.
I guess we'll see who much interest there is closer to release time. I'm probably good either way.
This year I'll be reading : City of Miracles
Age of Swords
The Disappearance of Winter's Daughter
The Stone Sky
and also if they come out:
The Thorn of Emberlain
Oath bringer
Peace Talks
Other books I'm preordering or getting from the library when they come out between February and April are:
All Our Wrong Todays
Norse Mythology
The Stars Are Legion
Wolf Moon
A Conjuring of Light
Seven Surrenders
Phantom Pains
The Song Rising
Brother’s Ruin
The Collapsing Empire
Waking Gods
Strange the Dreamer
The End of the Day
Sins of Empire By Brian McClennan is due for release on 7th March. I really enjoyed his powder mage series and hopefully this will be more of the same.I will be starting Death of Kings soon, so will be a little behind, but should have caught up with Empty Throne.
I have Arcanum Unbounded: The Cosmere Collection to read as well, so would be up for a group read.
From that list, I'm quite interested in:The End of the Day
The Collapsing Empire
A Conjuring of Light
Wolf Moon
Thanks for the list Christina - I didn't realize the timing on those.
Rob, each of the ones you listed are on my "must reads".
I'm trying not to start any incomplete series this year. Sins of Empire is going to be my first test to see if I can stick to that.

I'll be sure to talk about how great it is then. :-P

I am, but looks like the UK have limited choice in versions (Kindle or Paperback only). Hopefully that will change.
Rob wrote: "Anyone else interested in Sins of Empire out on March 7th?"I have it pre-ordered. I'm interested, but you know my reading speed these days...
Hmm. Not getting a lot of interest in anything atm.
What about The Collapsing Empire? It looked like a few people were planning to read that. Whose interested in a group read? It's out on March 21st.

Alright, looks like there is enough interest for Collapsing. I'll add it to the calendar.
I'll just do those other 2 on my own.

Yes, but not until after WoT at least.

Sumant wrote: "Guys anyone interested in reading Solar cycle by Gene Wolfe."Me too, depending on timing. I read the first two but never went past that point.
It is Pyrre's prequel backstory. She was the assasin character from the trilogy.Think I'm going to skip it. I just don't care enough about her backstory.
I'm in with the usual disclaimer. There is a giveaway for the book:https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sh...
Rob, are you starting Sins of Empire? I see my Kindle order came through - waiting till tomorrow to see if they are offering a discount on audio or going to burn an audible credit (seems I should since I am up to 6)
I MIGHT be up for Skullsworn, but I'll have to see how I feel in April.I definitely am up for Sins of Empire. I've just been swamped and haven't checked this thread as much as I should. My reading time is ok, but my computer time is sorely lacking. Anyway, I'm reading the latest VE Schwab book, then thinking about doing the McClellan book after that, unless we get a group read going.
Suzanne wrote: "I'm reading the latest VE Schwab book, then thinking about doing the McClellan book after that, unless we get a group read going.."I am not in a super-hurry to start. Apparently I ordered the hardcover, the kindle version, and the audible version, so i better read/listen to it at some point :)
Let me know when you are ready to start and we can do a buddy read if nobody else chimes in to join.
Wow you can switch reading methods every chapter! I'll be done listening to this book in about a week, so I can do McClellan any time after that! VA buddy read sounds good.
I was thinking of picking up the audio for my trip this weekend. I did the first trilogy on ebook, so I was thinking of doing the same, however audio would be easier. So I may start it after my current book.
Narrator is the same a the first trilogy. I will be getting to Sins of Empire as soon as possible (need to finish whats on my list first).
OK, so sounds like there may be interest in a group read after all?
Sky since you have all the versions, are you willing to make the discussion threads?

I love that series, but I won't be reading it again for awhile. If jump on the discussion though.
I tried reading it awhile back and just couldn't get into it. I'm going to check out the upcoming show though! That's probably blasphemy to do it that way, but I just have a hard time reading King - and Gaiman! I should turn in my reader badge.
@Suzanne I too couldn't get into it initially but then I found podcast for dark tower which gave me some spoiler free insight into the book which aroused my interest in the book again.
Oh nice - I hope that helps! For one thing, I'd love to read your review of it - I always like how you list the things you do and don't like about a book.
I just finished dark tower a little over a year ago and am not ready for a reread. Really enjoyed the series. I found myself randomly thinking about the ending for months after. The comics are pretty good as well.
I'm somewhat interested in Skullsworn later next month, and more interested in Red Sister - which is a new trilogy - I'm pretty sure it is unrelated to Lawrence's previous world.I'm also going to read City of Miracles when it comes out in early May. Another one I want to check out is Sleeping Giants - i got it on a kindle sale and its sequel is coming out soon.
I need to catch up on that Drew Hayes series Rob - I'm glad you've still been reading it!
I still havent read any Mark Lawrence. I own Prince of Thorns, but I haven't been in the mood for grimdark in sometime so I've been avoiding it.
If that book is unrelated to his previous world (and maybe less grimdark) I'd be interested in checking it out.
I'm definitely in for City of Miracles
I might be interested in Sleeping Giants

Probably, but then I didn't spend much time doing that last time. I really love Hobb, but not at the level they all seem to.
