I'm told that Babylon's Ashes has slipped to November.

Yeah I got a notice from Amazon about Baylon's Ashes since I had it pre-ordered. Now that I'm flying through The Expanse books I'm very sad. I'm definitely up for Age of Myth when it's released. Would also love to do The Thorn of Emberlain but I don't know if the listed date is firm.
Central Station is getting some good early reviews. That's out next month.Personally I'm looking foward to Ninefox Gambit. That's his first novel, but he's well known for brilliant shorter works. That's June. There's also the latest of Ben Aaronovitch's Rivers of London series out then.
The Obelisk Gate is due in August and the new Connie Willis is in September.
Yeah. Thorn will be on the list, but I haven't seen anything with an official date.
The Obelisk Gate is a good one. I'm definitely in for that one.
How many Rivers of London books are there? I've done the first two I think. I'll have to catch up.

I need to read the The Fifth Season, and want to, so I'd probably be up for The Obelisk Gate Ninefox Gambit looks pretty cool, would probably be up for that
Think I remember some of us talking about Dancer's Lament which comes out later this month. I'd definitely be up for that one.
Of the books mentioned, I'm definitely interested in The Thorn of Emberlain, The Obelisk Gate and Age of Myth.Ninefox Gambit seems interesting. And I'm always interested in new science fiction. Since I mostly read 'old' scifi.
@Scott - thanks for being interested in Age of Myth. So good to see. As for Thorn of Emberlain...it will be delayed, and I don't think any date is scheduled yet. The reason I say this is Scott and I share a publisher and I've not seen any of the standard "pre-release" stuff going on for that book...that...plus the fact that Scott has been known to miss deadlines in the past. He has a lot going on in his life and I'm sure he's just making sure it will be the best book it can be. It'll be great when it comes out. And thanks again for being excited about Age of Myth. I am too ;-)
I have to read Foxglove Summer before The Hanging Tree comes out (that's the Aaronovitch ones).Other than that and a TBR higher than myself I had no specific plans.
Oh and I'm a maybe on Ninefox as well. It'll depend on what I have going on and if it's in audio or not.
I'm in for Age of Myth, Dancer's Lament, The Thorn of Emberlain, The Obelisk Gate and the latest Rivers of London book.
I'm in for Age of Myth and maybe Dancer's Lament. I haven't been blown away by the Esslemont stuff but I'm willing to give it another try.Good to see you Michael.
Thanks for the insight, Michael. That's good to know as well as disappointing since I'm really looking forward to it. But I'm sure it'll be excellent once it gets published
I am in for Age of Myth and The Obelisk Gate.I also plan to read The Wheel of Osheim when it is released June 26th - we read the first two in the group.
I haven't mapped out my reads for the rest of the year like I usually do. I will most likely be reading books like Secrets of a Baby Whisperer and Go the F**CK to sleep :)
I'm in for The Obelisk Gate and maybe Dancer's Lament, too. Anyone interested in The Wall of Storms? The release is planned for October.
I probably won't do Wall, but we read the first in the group, so I suspect you'll have some takers.
Haha. I'll wait for October to believe that. You'll be lucky if things settle down in 18 years. :-)
Teach him to read early! Get him started on that fantasy :DI need to read Grace of Kings, never really gave it a fair shot when we did the read

:D Honestly, I only thought it was just OK when i read the first one, and I really wanted to like it. I just have faith that the series will get better.
Drink whiskey, Sky. You'll be fine.**Note: I am not a parent so my advice is about as useful as an asshole on your elbow.
I've been handling company and grading tests, but you all pick books I like very consistently, so I can just coast along :)I'm definitely in for Age of Myth, The Obelisk Gate and The Thorn of Emberlain. I probably won't read the Wall of Storms - I was satisfied with how the last one ended and I didn't love it enough to continue.
I would be in for Age of Myth, but...and now please don't hate me for this everyone...but I already have an ARC of this (signed by Mr. Sullivan to me personally) and want to read it early next month so I can have a review up by the time the book is released. But I will check in on the threads and join in on the discussion. I was incredibly lucky to go out to dinner with Mr. Sullivan with my husband and a couple friend of ours last month. Again...don't hate! lol!!! It was REALLY awesome to meet him in person and have a few hours just to sit and chat. If you get the chance to meet him in person, DO IT! He's an awesome guy.
Anyway, I'm definitely in for The Obelisk Gate, Thorn of Emberlain (on Amazon it now has an August release date?), and Ninefox Gambit. I really wasn't into The Grace of Kings when it came out so I'm going to skip the sequel. Too many other things I'm more excited to read!
Some other books that I have preordered and want to read when they come out in the next few months are: Children of Earth and Sky, The Fireman, Arabella of Mars, The Last Days of New Paris, Everfair: A Novel, Ghost Talkers
Very cool Christina!
I've actually been lucky enough to have lunch with him and his wife twice. They are great, and have interesting stories about book stuff. They've come to our local S&L meetups when they were less busy.
I don't have anything for him to sign (or didn't at the time) since I do his Riyria books in audio. There is a picture of the first time I met him on my profile I think.
How did you end up going out to dinner with him?

Lol. Well I need to finish my current book, but I should be able to do that by Friday.
Kat? Teanka? Suzanne?
Kat? Teanka? Suzanne?
Has anyone read Traitor's Blade? It showed up on my Goodreads recommendations and I like the cover art soooo what other convincing should I need right?
I'm tentatively interested depending on timing. We're about to read another Saxon book. I could probably do it after that, especially if I end up doing the audio.
I see there are 3 books, with the 3rd just coming out a few weeks ago. Is it done then? Or will there be others?

Actually..Amazon shows book 3 as not coming out until June in the US.
Not sure why goodreads says 4/7. Maybe that's a UK release date or something, since the publishers look different.

Haha yeah, it gets kind of crazy trying to keep all the series straight. I went to his web site and it said he's written 3 books on the series so I take that to mean there will be more
It has gotten solid 4 stars from a handful of friends who've read it, so I would be up for it after Cornwell.
Rob wrote: "Boo. Ongoing makes me a little less interested then. I've got 40 ongoing series atm.."Wow, that's crazy to keep track of haha. I saw there were 3 books published and was hoping it was a trilogy... similarly to Rob the fact that it may be ongoing makes it a little less attractive right now. Maybe I'll bump it in this thread if there is a lull later on in the year on when the Saxon read is done.
