A unique take on the Robin Hood story and pretty good overall, but I didn't like all the swearing. Everyone took God's name in vain - a lot!

Review ★★★★
This book has been on my never ending TBR list for ages and I am glad I got a chance to read it. It was a lovely book following a young couple through traumatic events in their childhoods. The book was all about forgiving yourself and learning to live again. Cute story with a good balance or romance and suspense.

Review: This was Savannah (Savi) and Damian's book. Such an emotional roller coaster ride for both of them. Savi has traumatic events to deal with from her past that she has repressed for so long that she is a robot going through life - feeling nothing. Not even the hugs she gets from her daughter. Damian has his own demons to deal from his Iraq days. Very well written story. Not for the faint of heart.
Camp pg 1275 ......be extremely unlikely anyone would hike or camp here.

This book started off leaving me something to be desired but once it hit the middle I was hooked and it became a page turner. It would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for all of the weather lingo I found myself skimming over.

Review - I love the worlds that Nalini Singh creates in her books. They never disappoint. Katya is tossed as garbage onto Dev's door. Dev is a protector of innocents. He just can't figure out if Katya is an innocent or not....

Good luck :) - book struggles can be no fun - especially when you need to finish it in a week. Good thing I never chose Gone Girl for one of these as it took me til about halfway through for it to get good.

REVIEW
I got this book for free on Amazon awhile ago, so I wasn't expecting much, but this was just terrible. It had a lot of errors, but that's not the reason I'm giving it such a low rating. The reason is that it was just so boring! Also, I didn't like the way people were portrayed in Heaven, but that's just a personal thing and I wouldn't have rated it lower just for that. I wouldn't recommend it.

REVIEW
Pilgrims Don't Wear Pink was a fun and lighthearted read. It's not a very realistic book. One of the most unrealistic things was when they put a high school age girl and boy who just graduated last spring in the same room, I don't believe that anyone would have done that without getting her parents permission.
There were many funny scenes that had me laughing out loud, so that was nice. And it was really nice getting little historical facts while keeping the story light.
Ashling had to be the most annoying character, but at the same time she was really key to the story - she added a lot of humor just by being the way she was.
There is some foul language used in the book, just letting you know so if that's something you try to avoid.
Overall, a fun book, but I would recommend borrowing if possible before purchasing. There's another book about these characters, Confederates Don't Wear Couture (Pilgrims #2) , which I will probably end up reading sometime, just not sure when.
***I received a complimentary copy of this book to review. I was asked to give my honest opinion of the book - which I have done.***

Review: Third installment in the Colorado Mountain series. This is Ty and Lexie's story. Lexie is sent by her dead boyfriends drug dealer friend/brother that she can't get out of her life to be outside of the correctional facility to pick up an inmate who is being released and to get further directions at that time. Out walks Ty Walker - quite possibly the most beautiful and definitely the largest man Lexie has ever seen. Ty has spent the last five years behind bars for a crime he didn't commit and was framed for by the dirty cops in Carnal. Totally enjoyed this book as I do all Kristen Ashley books. My only problem was Ty continually called Lexie "mamma" .... eeeewwww! I'm not your mamma and I don't want to be called mamma by a grown hot man.

My Review
This was a great romance book dealing with two individuals who had the odds stacked against them. It was a little long winded which is why it only has 4 stars but quite enjoyable. The romance and the relationship that developed was great. I really enjoyed watching the couple go through all the things that famous couple go through.

REVIEW
I thought I had an idea of what the story was going to be about, with the clues given in the beginning of the story, but I didn't expect what it really was about - wow! A moving story!
The reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it was a little slow at times, with the way it would jump from one character's thoughts to another - it's told with the narrator being omniscient which isn't something I like unless it's done well.
Overall a nice story with a touching message. I would recommend it.

An Outlaws Christmas
by Linda Lael Miller
Completed: 25/08/2013
Review: I set out to read Outlander but just couldn't face the mammoth task it was huge, so decided on this book instead...a little out of season but fit the challenge.
This books was a sweet read, a bit too sweet in places. It is an historical romance set in the west so has a very cowboy feel. The book was well written and was easy to read and follows the story of Sawyer McKettrick who has come to Blue River for a new job. I could tell from reading that I must have missed something and realised after looking up the book on here that this is the 16# book in the McKettrick Series, not that this really mattered the book content but they kept referring to Clay McKettrick and his wife and previous event obviously I was unaware of.
Verdict: ★★★
Pork: She fetched the salt pork and the eggs. (Loc 957)
Barn: The men had gone to the barn right after supper. (Loc 3339)
