Plea Of Insanity by Jilliane Hoffman
Finished: August 16th
Rating: 4 stars
Review:
This was a really good book! I really liked it! This is my first time reading this author and this won't be my last because I sometimes like to read crime/mystery books!
Words:
Camp: A parade of reporters, cameras, and boom mikes trailed the Levenson camp to the escalators while another broke off to follow Team State as they headed for the elevators, all the while shouting dumb questions that they'd either just heard the answer to in court or weren't going to get an answer to anyway. (Page 98)
Pancake: Julia remembered how her dad would take the family to the Venus for pancakes after church on Sundays. (Page 369)

A: Pride Mates/Jennifer Ashley (Dawn-Post 142)
M: Stealing Parker/Miranda Kenneally (Ashley-Post 135)
P: Plea of Insanity/Jilliane Hoffman (Amy-Post 152)

I fell right into my book last night, got 200 pages read and next thing I knew it was 2am.
Just finished my shift at work now I'm off for 2 days so I can really dig into these books so I can have them done by Friday :)
Yes! Great job girls, I think we could win this one :D

One for the Money
Review: I inhaled this book in about 5 hours. It wasn't as LOL funny as I had hoped, but it did get a few giggles. I'll definitely be reading the next one.
Pork- Pg 9 Two years ago, when Grandpa Mazur's fat-clogged arteries sent him to the big pork roast in the sky...
Barn- Pg 199 I was told at night cockroaches as big as barn cats came out to raid the kitchen,...

Week 5: Pork & Barn
by Rachel Caine
Finished: 21/08/13
Rating: 2 stars
My Letter: R
Review: OK I'm kinda on the fence about this one and I'm not sure if the 2 star rating is because I didn't really care for it or if I might have enjoyed it better if I would have read the Weather Warden Series first. That being said I needed an R book with these words so I read it and to be fair I think I will give this book another shot once I read the other series first but in general this book for me was just OK, for now :)
Pork: Angela explained to me, and went into great detail of how to season the pork...pg 74
Barn: There were none,except for a small house and a large storage building - a barn?...pg 63
(R)3+(WOW)1+(BW)1 = 5 points

Week 5: Pork & Barn
by Cindy Gerard
Finished: 22/08/13
Rating: 3.5 stars

Review:Basiclly this is a story about a special Ops soldier who got sold out after one of his missions went wrong. Throw in a hired assassin to keep things from coming to light about said mission, a beautiful woman and a flawed hero and you have Killing Time.
I enjoyed this book quite a bit, it was action packed and highly entertaining. I liked the way the story flowed and the characters were very likeable and I thought that this was a good start to this new series by Cindy Gerard.
Pork: all of them had pork and the expiration date stamped on the side...pg.318
Barn:seemed a little like closing the barn door after the horse got out...pg.258

Dont forget Ashley it's triple word week so your total should be 5 instead of 3 :)

I believe you were confusing last week with this week's book.

It was an amazing book! I thoroughly enjoyed it! Even though, I skipped book two to read this book in time of deadline, I wasn't really spoiled when I read book two next!

no worries dawn you haven't let us down yet :) Good luck with your books

No worries. Let me know if you become in a bind time wise. I could always read one.
I'm half done my book, should be finished tomorrow, thursday at the latest :) So far its very good
I finished my book i'll post my review in the morning :)

Does everyone have some reading time set aside for the 13th & 14th? The last item is called on the 13th, we are still tied for first so I think it is going to come down to who can finish their books and get them posted first. If we really want to win this we will need to be on it that week.
Week 6: Flag & Mask
by Jordana Frankel
Finished: 28/08/13
Rating: 4.5 stars
My Letter: F
Review:The Ward by Jordana Frankel was a gripping, action packed Dystopian YA novel about a 16 year old girl who will stop at nothing to save the life of her sister from a plague know as the Blight, all the while trying to keep herself from being discovered because she is some how Immune.
For a first novel I have to say that Frankel did a damn fine job. The world building was great and just enough that she will be able to expand into the next book. The main Character Ren is a tough as nails girl who is just unwilling to watch the people she cares about suffer and will do anything to help them, which makes her a fun character to get to know cause she's just cheeky enough that she doesn't come of as a total hard ass.
There is also the hint of of a love triangle but as of right now My girl Ren seems to have her heart set on one guy who may or may not be her downfall. The secondary characters are all wonderful and there is just that 1 or 2 that you love to hate. So all in all this was a fantastic read with something for everyone, I will be looking forward to book 2 when it comes in the future.
Flag: Or, at the least, a checkered racing flag...pg 1
Mask: Callum moves me aside and places a mask with a breathing tube over her face...pg 160

I really liked this book. the characters were fun and playful and not at all what you would expect from a proper Scottish Lord and a vicars daughter.
Pg 281- The cool night air whipped across the stone flag way...
pg 10- I had to promise not to wear a mask...

Review: Night Myst, book 1 of The Indigo Court series was a fantastic start to this new to me series by Yasmine Galenorn. It was full of mystery and magic, and along with tons of action this was a great book for any lover of the paranormal. Grieve is my new favorite book boyfriend, he takes hotness to a whole new level and I can't wait to read the next 3 books in this series.

On the Way to the Wedding Bridgertons
Finished: Sept 2 2013
Rating: 5 Stars

Review: I loved this conclusion to the Bridgerton series. I laughed and I cried, I cried so hard I had to put the book down until I could clear my eyes enough to go on. I loved poor Gregory, who hasn't had much of a role in the series except as the pea flinging little brother. It was great to see him grown up and how much he believed in true love after seeing all his siblings fall in love.
Baby- pg 369 Lucy sheepishly told him she was expecting another baby.
Hotel- pg 51 ...Gregory steered the group to the White Hart, a local inn that served simple but always delicious fare.
Wow we are on a roll this week ladies, hard to believe this is nearly over
Geez thats the one combination that I dont have for Q, I have every other letter but that one
Yes Dawn, I would, I know I have a T book with both words :)
Pie was the only word my Q book didnt have, so thanks for trading with me :)
