I have recently been introduced to the joys of biker romance. Deuce from
is definitely a dangerous hero. Warning: This book is not for the squeamish. If you like good guys, this is not for you.

Is this erotica, romantic suspense, or contemporary romance?

Ok so I had to get in on this thread. Iv been MIA as of late but I'm back and need some crazy reading time. Many that have been suggested are really good so I won't repeat, but if I have please dismiss....
so in love with Vlad right now. Smokin hot!
the first book in this series wasn't for me all that great but I was happy I picked up the second and continued the series because it ended up being really good.
first book was awesome, can't wait to read book two.
all I can say is... Dorian!
lots of bad boys to pick from.;.)

Thanks for the suggestions, Sharmila. Can you give me a heads up on what categories they fall into?
I already have Night Huntress listed and it looks like the Donna Grant book is PNR and Merry Gentry is UF.

Lady Danielle aka The Book Huntress wrote: "Is this erotica, romantic suspense, or contemporary romance? "Danielle, It's hard to categorize because it there is a love story but it's not romantic at all. It is erotic but so intense and dark, it's almost on par with
with some of the feelings it invokes. Deuce isn't a "hero" because much to flawed for that moniker, but definitely a badass. If you have character deal breakers that prevent you from liking a book, this might not be for you. It explores the outlaw biker world and doesn't sugar coat it for romantic sensibilities.
Knew I forgot something...okA kiss in a shadow is PNR
Dark light is PNR
Dangerous Highlander is PNR
Oh wait and then...
Erotica
if your looking for a good feel then, no this book is not for you. But if you want heart breaking then have at it. I wanted to smack and then hold Phillipe! And then turn around and smack Gemma and say in the words of Cher in Moon Struck " snap out of it!"And the HR
all I can say is .... Pearls.. Ladies pearls... These men of Vice are so devilish!
JZB is a must, but here are my others, all five star recs:Urban fantasy - Terrible!
Contemporary - Kelly!
Old school historical/time travel/suspense - Black Niall!
Definitely The Golden Dynasty by Kristen Ashley. It's almost a complete rip-off of Daenerys and Khal Drogo's relationship from the first season of Game of thrones, but with a way happier ending. lol. Worth the read if you don't mind some of the older 'bodice ripper' type scenes. (I know some people can get upset about dub-con)

I'm not sure if she's been mentioned earlier in the post but I definitely think that Lise Marie Rice should be on this list! Her Dangerous series
Mignight series
and Protector series
Such a great list of books....many I have read a concur....however, I would like to add:Elite Ops Series, by Lora Leigh....first book is
....and it is quite the ride.. Category: Romance Suspense but, truly, the eroticism is through the roof...especially with the first book in series. They are all stand-alones...all hot hot hot...and heroes are OTT alphas...

Wow, this is a delayed response but thanks for such a comprehensive list - some of which I have never heard of or may have forgotten.
I would recommend Cassandra Clare's 'The Mortal Instruments' series. I have really enjoyed these books. I believe they are classed as Urban Fantasy? Anyway the series begins with
though for me the series gets better and better as it goes along :-)
I would say on every street by karina halle. The rest of the series was okay (artists trilogy) but if you like dangerous heroes the first book is a good one!

I think you need to add:Arturo from Vamp City by Pamela Palmer
Saloman from The Awakener by Marie Treanor
Forgive me if this series has already been mentioned, but I did not see it in this thread. Stephanie Rowe's Order of the Blade beginning with Darkness Awakened is an awesome PNR series full of dangerous heroes! It's a series about an immortal race of warriors called Calydons who go rogue and go on a murderous rampage when they meet their shivas (soulmates), and the Order of the Blade warriors are the elite of those warriors whose mission is to eliminate the threat of the shiva curse either through elimination of the Calydon or the shiva. They have weapons that are kept inside their forearms in brands of their specific weapon. (It's explained better in the book!) The series unfolds as one by one these dangerous men find and fall for their shivas, while attempting to avoid the shiva curse. They have varying backgrounds and fight side by side like brothers. They are your typical alpha males with a severe possessive streak when it comes to their women, who are also strong and capable. The romance is sizzling, the men are hot, the women are kick-a@#!, and the plot is engaging and suspenseful. I can't wait for the next book to come out later this year! PNR at its best!
Dangerous heros? Well, the hero part is certainly debatable, but V'lane in Karen Marie Moning's Fever series is as dark and sexy and dangerous as they come. Death-by-Sex is how the Fae get rid of inconvenient women in that world; a fae's gotta do what he's gotta do, right? And what a way to die... The real hero of the Fever series is just as dark and dangerous, but less self-serving than V'Lane: Jericho Barrons. Yum.
I had a hard time appreciating this series when I first got into it. Mostly because I was expecting the more traditional fantasy romance that I loved in Moning's Highlander series, but Fever plays by dramatically different rules. I adored Barrons immediately, and when it began to appear that his chatacter would be phased out in the series, I stopped reading. I have learned that's not the case - hooray! - so Fever is back on my TBR list.
Anne Stuart's Ice series, starting with Cold As Ice, is for me the ultimate in Dangerous Dark Dudes -- at least for those of us who need an HEA. They are mercenary assassins, and when women get in their way... Well, it's generally not a nice first date.

Her sexy, dangerous heroes walk that line between good and VERY bad boys.
As far as I am concerned there are five Fever books. Anything else after that is Fever world. I still haven't read Dani's book.
