What did you think of the epilogue?

I'm personally conflicted about it so I'm asking you all:)

I cried so much that I had to stop reading because I couldn't see. When I finally stopped I kept reading and started crying again because Tessa and Jem are going to have to live without Will but I'm really happy that Jem and Tessa are together now. :)

The epilogue was.. Different. I also cried a lot when Will died ( I was rooting for him the whole time), but the fact that she still got to have Jem was hardly fair. But at the same time, it was good for Tess that she had someone. So:

1. Is Jem still immortal? Or will he die eventually also?

2. Does anyone else think that Jem and Tess will be in City of Heavenly Fire?

I'm glad Clare tied everything up, because I like closure. Honestly, I was glad she married Will, but the fact that she got to live out her lives with the two people she loved most in the world made me so much happier than the typical only-one-true-love mush that is so prominent in YA novels these days. I guess my only complaint is that Clare goes through the whole trilogy explaining that Jem is terminal, and that he wasn't rescuable, and yet she wrote it in that he was saved, just like that, in a matter of years. Overall, I loved it. It made me cry so hard that the man who sat behind me on the plane threw a pack of tissues into my lap, and the feeling that my heart was being wrenched from my body left me with satisfaction that I had finished yet another wonderful series.

perfectly perfect

It was perfect:-) i don't think tessa and jem should be a couple though. And the epilogue of this comes just before city of heavenly fire, so jem is himself again in city of heavenly fire

I loved the epilogue. I loved both boys so I was glad Tessa got to be with both. I'm just so sad jems not immortal and Tessa gets stuck here forever

I have a stupid question.....

So everyone's saying the Malec ship is going to sink. What if Magnus has really loved Tessa for all of these years, and that's why he let her crash at his place for a while?

pain.

I cried like a friggin baby for days after that epilogue. Who would want an immortal life if you have to see all your love ones die. For me Tessa could only be with Will. And I love Jem but he was not for Tessa.

I am just curious how he gets cured.

A book has only made me cry twice. Once was when the Peacekeepers got Cinna in Catching Fire. The other was CP's epilogue. It feels like I'm the only person who actually liked it...

I FUCKING HATED IT. like Nurlely, it ruined the entire series :( Tessa can't freakn choose so she gets both like seriously? should have just turned it into a ménage tres thing then. I think Will and Tessa should be together but she turned it into a love triangle with Jem. But you know how some love triangles you absolutely know for sure that she is going to end up with that guy but the author just kept on making Jem more likeable. Im Tessa and Will all the way but Jem needs a happy ending too! Just not this shitty ending. Wish I can unread the epilogue. waste of time

I kinda thought it was great but it was also a huge cheat with Tessa being able to be with both Will and Jem and the whole Will dying thing...well, we all knew it was going to happen but I soo dint want to read about it! I would have preferred to stay in my bubble of ignorance where Will lives forever heheh
