Does everyone have their own template? My character feels as though he'll be exceedingly simple compared to all other completed characters in this group...
Also I must say that is a rather fab idea.
Well, I guess you could say everyone has their own personal template.I mean, basically the templates are all mine, and then what people do is they change a few minor details and then… slap their names on it.
Sooooo, you can just join the party -- unless you don't want to go through all the trouble, 'cause honestly, sometimes I hate making characters just because I like going above and beyond.
I don't... I always feel as though someone would be all like "hey you copied my template" and then I'd probably go and curl up in a corner or something. That and I'm just so lazy...I like your idea very much. I'm just not too creative when it comes to templates. Ugh...
@ Paro- It must get so tiring of being so awesome. Maybe you should retire
@ Aria- You aren't alone! We are both surrounded by template masters. I'm just simply observing the first collection of templates being created and will soon attempt to conjure one myself
Well, I specifically say in my disclaimers that you can freely use my templates, so I don't think anyone can blame you for wrongfully copying x3 But I get the lazy part.
I decide against joining awesome groups, because my mindset; "Eh… if I join, I'll feel compelled to make an over-the-top character template. I could just go simple, but… eh… I haven't done simple in sooo long.

A character I made last night was the first that I've had to break into two different posts. I'm rather proud of her.
But she took me ages.
I'm with you Dahlia. Just simply observing the genius templates and detailed characters. I could make something like that but I'd have to be really patient. And generally if I'm sitting in one place doing one thing for more than an hour or two, I feel like throwing something across the room.
I don't have much free time -- which is why it may take me a couple days to make my characters. That or I'll just put in things from past characters and slap something together.

I've been so lazy as of late. I have all characters in all groups I've created in one place, so I usually copy paste personalities and tweak them a bit.Histories are generally unique though. I don't use histories more than once.

Aria: I hate histories the most out of making characters; histories are just difficult for me to make for some reason.
I don't think I've ever created a happy history...Maybe like once...
Although I view my characters as my babies, I'm so cruel to them. You've got the people who murdered their own families, the ones who were abused by their drunken parent, the ones who were left on the doorsteps of orphanages and forced into lives of labour and solitude, the ones who were raped and ended up with their own child at 15 years of age. Among many other things.
I'm so mean... But I love them.

@Aria: Nope. I can't do it. I think the cruelest histories I have ever written was a hunter getting bit by a werewolf on her first hunting trip with her grandfather and him giving her the choice to run or die. Or my succubus who found out what she was at a party when she got...locked in a room with a group of guys; but in her fear she accidentally drained their lifeforces until they turned to dust before anything happened. I just can't do it...I start to, but then I make everything better in the end. D:

Mine seem to start okay, but then by the end nothing is okay.The nicest history I wrote was when my character's whole family died in a house fire, with the exception of one of her five brothers, they were sent to an orphanage and they were actually treated kindly.

Aria: I simply cannot do it...I actually feel guilty if I create a character with horrid history. I guess to me it's sort of as if they are real people. It kind of makes me mad when someone writes a tragic past for their character. I'm just like, "Why? Why, would you do such a thing?!?!?!?" But I respect the people that can do that, it takes talent to make someone truly angry through their writings.

Antonia: I suppose that, by giving my characters such a horrible history, it motivates them to turn their world around and actually become happy. I can always right posts filled with horrors and sadness and everything, because I suppose it helps me to establish a storng bond with them and see who they are from the inside. It's true that I am a rather cruel creator, but I give my characters the motivation and the chance they need to turn things around.Yes, they are not real people but I know them better than real people.
@ Paro- I don't really know. Maybe I feel so cocky right now cause I'm watching LOTR and day- or er nightdreaming of adventures

Wow, thank you. That means a lot coming from you. The histories that I have been doing lately I've been putting more and more effort into, like the ones for my Rivalry charries. I have you to thank for that broham, you inspire me to write better. ^^
