eReader book bargains
I've bought 10, yes 10 kindle books today, but my excuse is that I used ten pounds of my birthday money, so I don't think that's too bad...

I feel better now, I didn't (quite) break 10.

Glad to have made you feel better, Jo!

For all those who can remember the seventies and didn't buy enough books yesterday...

I have Free ebook reade. It used to be on google play but now it wasn't. So I guess you should try downloading the apk fron the internet. In e-print.com I guess. It's "10000 Free ebook readers" :D All books are FREE, the book are up to date, and everyday they upload 10 or 20 new ebooks. HOPE YOU'LL ENJOY IT LIKE I DID!!
The Shock of the Fall is currently £1.99. It's been on my watch list for a while, so grabbed it quickly. Sounds good, but could be quite a harrowing read.http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0...
Got a kindle for Christmas and I find it difficult to stop buying things! I'm going to have a look at your link even so, Paul!
The Snow Child and The Hand That First Held Mine are both 99p for kindle versions on Amazon at the moment. I'd recommend both of them.
The Rosie Project is currently 99p on UK Amazon kindle. Have just bought it, for a re-read. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it last year - very funny. Definitely worth buying.
Flight Behaviour by Barbara Kingsolver is 99p today on UK Amazon kindle. Have just bought, as I plan to read it as part of the Challenge.

Unfortunately, I didn't much enjoy The Lacuna, so it's put me off a bit...
Just bought it as I loved both the Lacuna and the Poisonwood Bible. Thanks for the heads-up Elizabeth! Another one for the ever-expanding to read list...Do love getting a Kindle bargain :)
And there's another sale on Amazon Kindle this week - the Half Term Sale. Lots of books at 99p, inc some for children.
The Lie by Helen Dunmore is £1.69 on Kindle today. I've read one of her others so going to give this a go.
The Crow Road by Iain Banks is the 99p Kindle UK daily deal today. If you have never read it I strongly urge you to pick it up - it is one of my favourite ever books and is just wonderful.

Just got the Sainsburys ebook app, they have lots of cheap deals. I got The Book Thief for 99p. Quite distressingly lent some of my favourite books to a friend (non book person) and never saw them again. The Book Thief was one of them :/Now an ex-friend.
Amazon is doing a price match against a Nook sale at the moment. There's quite a few bargains. I got Longbourn and A Cat, a Hat, and a Piece of String both for 99p. Other bargains are The Shock of the Fall, Big Brother, Mary Berry's autobiography and loads more.
This is the Nook link http://www.nook.com/gb/search?[s]cate... for anyone who has a Nook, but most of these are price-matched by Amazon (although not all, yet).
I had absolutely no idea you could access Kindle without a kindle, I thought Amazon had tied it to their account. However just found an android app on google Play for Kindle. Obviously bought loads last night, it's so addictive. Some of my favourite history books were 59p/99p!!!! I spent £10 and got about 12 books. Hurray!!
I do have a Kindle but often use the Kindle App on my ipad because it's lovely and bright when I am reading in duller conditions or inside. You also get the colour of the covers and any illustrations, but I don't on my Kindle as it's only in black and white. Kindle brilliant in the sunshine though, absolutely no glare!
And it all syncs between devices so you can flit from one to the other without any problems.

It's gorgeous, long and slim, perfect for reading books and the good news I don't need to buy more bookshelves.
It makes me laugh, every time I get a bit tired of reading and in need of a rest, I log onto Google and Play and now Kindle :) and buy more books. LOL
Right here goes, yesterday's purchases from Kindle -
Harvest
The Teleportation Accident
The Corrections
Goodbye to All That
Tommy: The British Soldier on the Western Front
The Weaker Vessel
Quantum: Einstein, Bohr and the Great Debate About the Nature of Reality
Catherine the Great: Portrait of a Woman
Titans of History
Return of a King: The Battle for Afghanistan
The Complete Works of D.H. Lawrence
I think I need to buy a SD card asap, at this rate.
Lovely. I imagine you can also download an app that will allow you to read non-Kindle books (eg rented ebooks from the library) should you wish to, as well. I'd like to do this sometime but can't really justify spending on a Kobo or whatever yet and our tablet is a bit old, heavy and creaky to carry around.

I use it, and have it on my laptop and my Kindle Fire (can only borrow audio books, not ebooks on that).

It's a mid-range price about £200, but we got the kids Hudl's at xmas, £115. My hubbie is an IT consultant so he did lots of research and the best models for your money. He bought me a Bebook ebook reader a few years ago and now I just use the tablet.
I have a Nook with the glow light that I bought for $70 and I can buy books from B&N and also from AppStore and they are also websites for free ibooks.
That's annoying, Pat. Very limiting. In Dorset we can download onto computer and transfer to MP3. I put them on my iPod Shuffle, then delete when I've finished.
You can prob. Download to iPod. I am very lucky as I have an iPad and listen to audiobooks on way to work. Rubbish radio at times if day that I travel.
