Q.) If you had the ability to bring one book character to life, who it it be, what book are they from, and why?

message 140: by L (new)

L | 1252 comments A). That is tough! Only one book. Well it would have to be something that i could read over & over again {without getting bored} and something that was fairly lengthy so as to keep me reading for many hours.
I would have to choose The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien {one volume edition}!

...bet you're not suprised!

Q). If you could re-design a cover for a book, what book would it be?!

message 141: by Mika (new)

Q). Series that you love to re-read over and over again?

message 142: by Lady Poppy (new)

Lady Poppy | 367 comments A. I'm going to say Harry Potter (I haven't finished them, so I suppose it doesn't count). If not those, then Fablehaven (it's a childhood favorite of mine).

Q). If you could interview any author, whom would it be and what would you ask them?

message 147: by [deleted user] (new)

A) If I was setting the standards? Gosh. This is so hard. Ermmm... Well I guess the YA genre leaves a lot more room to explore because there aren't any real boundaries? If that makes any sense? So I don't think I'd really set any standards.

Like for children's books, you have to simplify things, and books in this genre tend to baby the kiddies and such books are usually happily ever afters.

Whereas adult's books are different in that well... I guess they're more open about er... sex and er... stuff.

I dunno. I don't really think I'm making any sense...

Q) Your opinion on the sudden trend of dominating/possessive male main-characters that border on abusive?

message 148: by Booknut, Head Moderator (new)

Booknut 101 (booknut101) | 4592 comments Mod
A) Silly. That's my honest opinion. A male character who borders on abusive and is highly possessive needs to get a serious reality check before he ends up with a restraining order or behind thick metal bars in a nice jail somewhere. Treating a woman like she's wanted is one thing. Being possessive is quite another.

Q) If you could bring one character back to life, who would it be and why?
