Sofiab | 3 comments I'm looking for a book that I read a long time ago (about ten years) that I'm curious about what it was called and whetever it was part of a series.

It was a children or YA book about a man and his apprentice traveling around and looking for old "magic" artifacts that people found in the ground. I can't remember everything they did but in the end they went to a city where all the streets layed in darkness and bridges connected the buildings high up in the air.

As the story progressed it became clear that the "magical" things where just old technology and that most of the people inhabiting that world was colonist that had come there through space.

The other types of creatures that lived in this world had fur and kinda looked like cats I think.

Nope not the one.

Annie (anniemk) | 48 comments It sounds like Catherine Fisher's Relic Master series, beginning with The Dark City.
