I liked the book by Nella Larson better than the movie; nothing new with that, I suppose.

What blew my mind was Halle Berry in the Bruised movie.

9:40 am and I am at work looking for my next read (which I think I've found, The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America's Great Migration. And I am also doing a little investigative work on a book I just finished Things Fall Apart and trying to gain perspective as to why so many people loved this book that I just can't see the gem in.

Kisha! I felt the same way after reading it. I was like is this one of those books that people tell you is great, but no one really tells you why. Anyway, that was in my younger days…I have since purchased the trilogy and I hope to get some better insight….whenever I pick it up. Lol

Watching the livestream of my son's graduation (he feels terrible, but forgot to bring my invitation) and Brian Stokes Mitchell has just received an honourary PhD! He has a concert today, so is watching it online and we saw a recorded response. I love his voice, so am very happy to see this.
