I actually own a cheap cheesy sci-fi box set that contains, among other things, Radar Men from the Moon (Introducing Commando Cody!). It reminds me that i 1) paid actual money for said box set, 2) actually watched the entire black-and-white, cut short because it was so crappy, serial, and 3) Radar Men from the Moon was pretty much the best thing on the entire 4 disc set.

Tom, I think it's great that you own a movie that was viewed on MST3K.By the way, I changed my avatar just for you.
Thank you. I'm totally unfamiliar with Phantom Empire. I actually probably own more than one movie that was shown on MST3K, and Radar Men was a 12 episode serial and not a single flick. I got it on a 4 disc sci-fi set that i paid ten bucks or so for, figuring that at least one or two movies on it would be worth watching. Boy, was i wrong. The Giant Gila Monster, The Brain That Wouldn't Die, Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet, Abraxas: Guardian of the Universe...on the plus side, since it's in a box the set does come in handy in keeping my other dvds standing upright.
Damnit! I googled "Radar Men Sci-Fi box set", and Amazon.com told me there was a box set which included Radar Men and Phantom Empire. You've failed me for the last time, Amazon.........
Rusty is the Phantom Empire as crappy and cheesy as the previous avatar? I'll go a step ahead and ask: why?
If it's any consolation, the set i got had Phantom Planet and The Phantom From 10,000 Leagues. Didn't watch those, though. Too traumatized after Radar Men.
"The set so crappy, we won't even bother to try to sell it on Amazon!" https://www.echobridgeentertainment.c...I guarantee you i didn't pay any sixteen bucks for it, though.
Ok, in writing it doesn't seem all that bad, until I got to the part: "a malevolent alien who seeks a human female to breed with. All the alien needs to do is impregnate her with a simple touch, making time Abraxas' most precious commodity."WTF??!! And it's a downward spiral from there...
And Rusty had it as his avatar? Why oh why Rusty?! Please explain.
If you were to look closely at that avatar, you would notice the silohoutes of the cast of MST3K in front of the screen. It was really more about MST3K. That is all.
By the way, the avatar pic he used wasn't the whole box set...it was one of the serials contained in the box set. Had nothing to do with the Abraxas flick, which was another of the movies in the set.

Tom wrote: "By the way, the avatar pic he used wasn't the whole box set...it was one of the serials contained in the box set. Had nothing to d..."Good, it wasn't the crappies one there! I wasn't trying to pin that on Rusty... I had nothing against the avatar. I might have something against the duder that created Abraxas but that's a whole different story.
I don't understand this thread. WTF are you guys talking about?
They carry the world on their shoulders.
Cephalapods have all their parts squished together. Look at it as you'd like.
Yes, actually, but I always think of molluscs as cephalopods because they're cousins and I love that word so much. The head is in the foot. That word delights me.
You have a fascination with putting your foot in your mouth? Is this part of that whole oral fixation thing?
You say that as I'm cramming my mouth full of Hot Tamales.
