I'm glad you are back with us. I have a book to add to our list
. My daughter read it and loved it. She read it after the Iron Fey series which she loved too.

I didn't like the third book as much as the first two. I was waiting for the character development to show up, but it never really did. They all remained pretty enigmatic - though we did get to see a bit of Henry towards the end of the third. I enjoyed the series overall, though.

I hope you can!
I hope you can!

But I'm really excited to see what you guys thought of it!
You can still discuss with us Gwenn :)
Is 6 chapters a day okay? Or we could do 7 and be finished on Thursday.

I am ready! 6 or 7 is fine with me.
I think house stuff might slow down soon, giving me more Goodreads time.
We have the paint done in four rooms. Mid-progress on living room. Kitchen and breakfast nook are not done. I'm leaving the sun room for the boys. We're having carpet installed asap (takes forever-but at least it's ordered!), and ... ok fine, there's still a lot to do.
/sigh
My room looks awesome though!
I am having a love/hate relationship with goodreads lately. It either deletes posts or doubles them. What is up with that?
I don't think I've had any of mine double, but lately it says 'there was trouble saving this post' and then I have to write the whole thing over again. You think I would remember to copy it so I can paste it back in again just in case, but I never do.
Alyssia, did you want to read Scarlet with us? We are discussing when to start it over in the Cinder thread.

So Jekylls and Hydes are abnormal humans? Clinic is seeking a cure? What are they give Carter to speed his healing? How did Eden and Chastity merge?

it is alllllmost scifi, but it hasn't told me the science bits.
I agree Gwenn I want to know more about the Clinic. Hopefully some of those questions will be answered in this book.

I've been having this problem too, a lot lately. Or it will tell me it didn't save my post, so I will repost only to have both show up.
Mitch and Eden/Chastity are in an impossible situation. He won't believe anything she says because of her eyes. If only he can get past that. What is Landon's beef with the Clinic? Who did he lose? Is it the mating that caused Eden/Chastity integration? Will it work for Mitch?

I want them together but I want them healthy not totally messed up. Mitch is messed up but I like him. I think I would be messed up too if I were him.

non-sexist. lol. there is not one.

Lol!
I'm just trying to figure out who can be trusted and who can't. It's pretty messed up.

They are all messed up in this book. There is no one to trust. Who is the guy in control and what is the real reason behind the Clinic? The Clinic is seriously twisted!!

I think the fight club thing mitch does. that is a pretty interesting way of keeping Hyde in control.
The drug use, I do not like. at all. I'm not used to drugs harder than cocaine being used in books and it's making me uncomfortable.
Landon is probably my favorite character in the book. he's pretty angsty and unhealthy, but compared to Mitch anyone would look like a boyscout at this point.
I think I'm mostly upset cause I /Loved/ Mitch in the first book, but now I don't care for his POV chapters.
Just finished it. I really liked the banter between Mitch and Landon. I can't believe it ended that way! I will have to wait for the next book! Really!!

I was thinking the same thing. I am ready for some answers.

I will certainly be reading the next book in the series.

I agree. I get he's going through some tough stuff, but he is not the same. The scene where he backs Eden into the cage trying to get her to admit she is really Chastity - that's the Mitch I like.

I think the lost of Eden and the reoccurrence of Hyde has made definite changes to his personality. He is not his confident self.

I read this one and from what im gathering about the clinic is like most organizations in stories such as this, they are not out to find a cure, but a way to control/use the hydes. Imagine an army of Hydes you can send anywhere anytime.
The best part of this book for me was the Mitch/Landon relationship, they actually make a decent pair of friends. I was happy that Eden has grown a giant pair of balls, but I missed Chasity, now that woman 'whew' I want her. Oh yes, I want her.
