Amy it was the same thing over and over with no going forward with the story. Plus there is another book in that series coming out in 2012, so that tells me the author is just dragging the series out. really there is no need to.
Not impressed by this series.

I just brought the series!!!

Oh, that book came in for me and I let it go to the next person, because I didn't think I'd be bale to read it in two weeks time.
I'll have to put it back on my hold list.

I wasn't a big fan of Fallen either. Way too slow for YA in my opinion.

I wanted to like it but was left feeling a bit unmoved. I didn't particularly like any of the characters. It moved so slowly, and the female protagonist (see she made such an impression I can't remember her name!) was fairly slow witted when it came to figuring things out. I basically just didn't care what happened next.

Yeah I agree! I read Hush Hush right after Fallen and wasn't feeling too won over on the whole fallen angel thing, but I liked Hush Hush. It wasn't mind blowing, but had a more refreshing voice than Fallen, and a male protagonist who was more than just a broody face!

Have you read

another good book = )

Yeah it's unfortunate isn't it when the male lead is too serious and the bad guy so much wittier and funny. They had the same problem in the Vampire Diaries. Who would want sulky, mopey Stefan when they could have funny, charming Damon?

Unearthly was great too. Another good one was

I really liked Poison Study, but the others in the series didn't impress me as much.

I liked the 2nd one, but I put over a year between the 1st & 2nd. I think I'm feeling like this 3rd book sounds just like the 2nd, and the character Yelena reminds me of Trella from her Inside Out series--jumps into trouble without thinking.

Fencing teen gets magically transported to a pirate ship."
Pirate ship? Magic? Swords? That could be a really cool or really cheesy. I'm looking forward to reading your review.

The books are full of intrigue and pirates and talking magical ships and dragons and sea monsters.

I finished Passion by Lauren Kate yesterday which I absolutely loved!

I love that cover! Can't wait to hear what you think of it.

I'm reading Angel Burn by L. A. Weatherly. Good so far, gives a different perspective on angels. They apparently aren't the good guys!
