Up 'til all hours last night with Moon Over Manifest. What a beautiful story!!! I love an interesting town with weird people in it any day!
Between Here and Forever was an ok read. I wanted to shake some sense into Abby and the secrets in her sister's life wasn't that earthshattering. I plan on trying. Bloom before making up my mind on this author.
Amy wrote: "Why did you give up on Passion? Was it bad?"Amy it was the same thing over and over with no going forward with the story. Plus there is another book in that series coming out in 2012, so that tells me the author is just dragging the series out. really there is no need to.
Not impressed by this series.
I've started listening to Across the Universe by Beth Revis and I'm really liking it so far. I got all teary the first half hour, very intense first chapter!

I just brought the series!!!

I'll have to put it back on my hold list.

I wasn't a big fan of Fallen either. Way too slow for YA in my opinion.
See I loved Fallen. Wasn't a hundred percent loving the second book but I"m definitely looking forward to reading Passion. May be next on my list.

It moved so slowly, and the female protagonist (see she made such an impression I can't remember her name!) was fairly slow witted when it came to figuring things out. I basically just didn't care what happened next.
Kellyflower wrote: "Not caring for the "Fallen" Series, but love Becca Fitzpatrick's "Hush, Hush" series."Yeah I agree! I read Hush Hush right after Fallen and wasn't feeling too won over on the whole fallen angel thing, but I liked Hush Hush. It wasn't mind blowing, but had a more refreshing voice than Fallen, and a male protagonist who was more than just a broody face!
Tessa, I found myself way more interested in Cam then Daniel in Fallen. He is way more interesting!Have you read
another good book = )
Thanks, I'll give that a go!Yeah it's unfortunate isn't it when the male lead is too serious and the bad guy so much wittier and funny. They had the same problem in the Vampire Diaries. Who would want sulky, mopey Stefan when they could have funny, charming Damon?
I loved the Hush Hush series. I think Patch is one of those characters you totally have a love hate relationship with. I liked that Nora is a normal girl but smart about her life and the people and things in it.Unearthly was great too. Another good one was
I'm reading Fire Study by Maria V. Snyder, but for once, I'm having a hard time getting into one of her books.

I think I'm feeling like this 3rd book sounds just like the 2nd, and the character Yelena reminds me of Trella from her Inside Out series--jumps into trouble without thinking.

Pirate ship? Magic? Swords? That could be a really cool or really cheesy. I'm looking forward to reading your review.
My favorite pirate books are the Live Ship Trader series by Robin Hobb: Ship of Magic, The Mad Ship, and Ship of Destiny. But I can't remember what order they go in.The books are full of intrigue and pirates and talking magical ships and dragons and sea monsters.
I'm reading Fairy Bad Day by Amanda Ashby. I picked it up on a whim. Usually I don't like fairy stories but so far it's an easy read.I finished Passion by Lauren Kate yesterday which I absolutely loved!
I just read a teen romance, Rules of Attraction, which was ok, but not as good as the main character's brother's story in my opinon (Perfect Chemistry), and now I've started reading A Wizard of Earthsea. I've wanted to read it for years. One of my groups here on GR is reading it so I'm making the time to do it!
Finally got my hands on the library's copy ofMockingjay, so I'm reading that in my lunch breaks and morning coffee break. Makes the time go far too quickly though!
I got most of my galley picture books out of the way, and have started The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater. So far, it is really good.
I finished Demonglass which I loved. Starting Starcrossed which is easy to get into already and I"m only on chapter two.
I'm reading Clockwork Angel which I'm guessing is a prequel? Not sure I'm understanding since this one says book one but the next book in the series says book one too. Anyway, it's harder for me to get into since I'm not much for period reads and the whole steampunk thing. But I like the angel aspect of it.
I am reading The Weed That Strings the Hangman's Bag. Enjoying the story. I really dislike the interactions between the sisters, though. Poor Flavia.

I love that cover! Can't wait to hear what you think of it.
I'm reading Nightspell by Leah Cypess and am really loving it so far. It's a very original ghost story and the voice is excellent.
Pretty cover Heather!I'm reading Angel Burn by L. A. Weatherly. Good so far, gives a different perspective on angels. They apparently aren't the good guys!
I'm reading Forever, part of the Wolves of Mercy Falls series, third book. So far it's just eh. Hoping it picks up.
Heather, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I thought something was wrong with me because it has such high ratings.
I finished The Gathering which I didn't care for and started reading The Lost Hero which I am enjoying.
I'm reading A Wizard's Dozen: Stories of the Fantastic edited by Michael Stearns. Some of the stories in this book are really good.
