Its a really cool concept for an "end of the world" type of disaster--kind of combines the dystopian with the sci-fi!

Ohmygosh... Really loving the sci-fi in this too along with the distopian/apocalyptic world. Really good!

He did on me, too! I really liked him in this book!

60% done. OH. MY. GOSH. Ohmygosh. You have gotta be kidding me. I have to hand it to Elizabeth Norris - she is one brave author. This had better resolve itself positively somehow, because I have no idea how it could.

I really like Barclay too. (view spoiler)[I honestly think he's in love with Janelle - and he's really probably the best thing for her because they are so much alike. He gets her. (hide spoiler)]
As for Ben (view spoiler)[how could he betray her like that? When he knew that the other Janelle wasn't her? The only thing I can figure is that he's not the same Ben. Or maybe that he just rescued her from a slave ring or something, knowing that she wasn't Janelle. I doubt it, though. I sure don't see how this is going to go anywhere positive. My heart is just broken for Janelle (hide spoiler)]

It does get better,Jen, but I had the same reaction! I though Barclay might be in love with her,too, but by the end I feel its more of a big brother type of love.

Oh whoopsies, I'm 29% in after last night. I finally got home after running errands all day so need to catch up now! :)

Well, I am just exhausted. Just finished. What a book! (view spoiler)[I was sure that she was going to pull a Lauren Oliver on us and have Ben disappear forever. I didn't want to hope! Oh, that ending. I'm so thankful she brought them together at the end. (hide spoiler)] I'll post my thoughts later after I've had some time to process.

Oh wow! Well I suck as a buddy this week. I'm 38% in. And wow, (view spoiler)[Janelle is freaking brave about to go into the prison to get Eli out. Yikes! Sure hope Barclay knows what he's doing! (hide spoiler)]

Ohmygosh. 77% in and I must stop reading and get to sleep. But I want to keep reading. Ugh... Early meeting and it's 1:00 a.m. (view spoiler)[Really loving all 5 of these guys! Even Eli! And Cecily...!! Love her attitude. I think her and Eli are cute together. She evens him out somehow. They've just busted into IA. (hide spoiler)]

I loved Cecily and Eli together as well! Eli is a hoot - I really enjoyed him. (view spoiler)[It cracked me up when they're all sitting there after the big showdown, Barclay has just died, Struz 2.0 has shot himself, they're all in shock and Eli says "Well, I just got shot!" (hide spoiler)]

Those short stories are just WONDERFUL! I appreciate Elizabeth Norris so much for going with her gut for the endings. She kept the tension until the very end and then really rewarded us. So well done!

I'm so glad you loved it, Jen! I was happy with the ending, although (view spoiler)[ Why did Barclay have to die??? I really liked him!! Although it did make him more of the hero of the story I guess. (hide spoiler)]

I need to read all the short stories! I'm not sure if Elizabeth Norris is writing anymore books on Janelle, I heard she wasn't, but I really hope she does! I just LOVE Janelle!

Finished! Wow! Another excellent book for our buddy read! Barclay! (view spoiler)[So sad that he had to die, but you're right Jenny, it makes him an even bigger hero! And he gets his monument! Eli and Cecily are just too freaking cute!

I thought the drama of Janelle saying goodbye to Ben could have been a bit overdone. Come on..! The guy can portal back and forth between worlds quicker than it takes me to walk across my living room to go to work in the morning. He has no commute!! So seriously!?
