okay so it's a book about a woman in scotland who married the father of the girl she believed she killed when she was little. her friend who was trouble came back to visit her. turns out she, with the woman's other best friend, killed the little girl by accident and let her live with the guilt. the friend dies in the end too. CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE NAME OF THIS BOOK??

it was almost a romance thriller of sorts.
it was definitely taken place in the present day.
I read it around easter last year, and it was fairly new I think.
