I am looking forward to great discussions.
I just completed this book, The Happiness Flywheel, and found it very insightful if you are interested in applying spirituality to modern life.
If you have any other books on happiness, please suggest them. This is a topic I am pretty interested in exploring further.

I’m glad to joint he group.
I’m Marcus J. Leroy, a former Belgian diplomat, who has spent over four decades immersed in the cultures of Southeast Asia and Africa. This extensive experience has fueled my lifelong study of classical Chinese philosophy, particularly Daoism. Six of my books, two of them about Daoism, have been published in Dutch, captivating readers in Belgium and the Netherlands. My latest book is “Finding Your Way in Daoism” @Amazon.
There are quite some misconceptions about Daoism. Shame. Daoism isn't just meditation. It's a universe of philosophical insights covering all fields of human life. Its timeless wisdom is surprisingly close to Western thought and modern science. No wonder its ideas are now widely used in management training courses.

For most of my life, I was the definition of a high-strung, type-A businessperson. Meditation always seemed impractical, something that worked for other people, but not for me. My mind was always racing, my to-do list never-ending, and the idea of sitting still in silence felt impossible. But something in me knew I needed to try. It wasn’t easy, and at first, I was terrible at it. But through persistence, I learned to quiet my mind—until one day, I found myself slipping into deep meditation for hours at a time. That’s when everything changed.
It was in one of these meditative states, while sitting on the cliffs of the Big Island of Hawaii, that the story of Spirit Gift was gifted to me. I use the word gifted because I didn’t "create" this book in the way most authors do. The inspiration, the storyline, and the messages came to me fully formed as if passed down from a higher source. My role was simply to bring it to life.
I’m excited to share my book, Spirit Gift: A Journey Through the Seven Planes of Existence, with you.
Set in 1211 A.D., Spirit Gift follows a journey through the seven planes of existence, weaving themes of love, purpose, and spiritual discovery into an immersive and timeless narrative. At its heart, Spirit Gift is a reminder that each of us carries a unique gift—one that has the power to uplift and transform the world.
Thank you for the opportunity to share this journey with this book club. I am honored to be a part of a space where I can connect with like-minded individuals.
Meditation changed my life and allowed me to find my spirit gift. Has anyone had a similar experience?
Have you ever felt there’s more to this world than what meets the eye?
What is your Spirit Gift?
Best,
Jeff Wellman

Greetings from another inspirational author and reader!

Greetings, Halina!

Interesting to meet you.
I took a look at your books, and can relate (even though we express things differently.)

I just wanted to take a moment to say how much I appreciate this group. There’s something really powerful about people coming together to share books that uplift, challenge, and inspire us to grow. It’s easy to get caught up in the heaviness of everyday life, but reading stories of resilience, transformation, and hope always reminds me that healing and change are possible.
Like many of you, I turn to books when I need a new perspective or a reminder that I’m not alone in what I’m going through. Some have helped me process difficult emotions, others have given me the courage to take the next step forward, and a few have completely shifted how I see the world. I’d love to hear from you all—what’s the most inspiring book you’ve read recently, and what about it spoke to you?
Looking forward to sharing and learning from everyone here

Hello Iris
Yes, books!
Right now, among other books, I'm re-reading The Surrender Experiment: My Journey into Life's Perfection (the ultimate surrender to life's flow - and an amazing real life story) - a great inspiration at a time where I live with radical presence (as much as I can).

I’ve been reflecting lately on how we all define success differently—some see it as achieving goals, others as finding purpose, or even just enjoying the process of growth.
What does “winning the game” of life look like for you?
Do you focus more on outcomes, personal fulfilment, resilience… or something else entirely?
Curious to hear your thoughts!
I’ve also been reading and writing around this topic myself—if you’re into mindset and purpose-driven living, you might enjoy this too:

Would also love to hear your favourite reads on the topic!

Yes to books! 📚 The Surrender Experiment is such a powerful read—I remember being really moved by Michael Singer’s journey and how fully he embraced life’s flow. It’s beautiful that you’re living with radical presence (as much as you can)—that takes real intention and courage.
If you’re drawn to books that support emotional growth and healing, you might resonate with one I recently wrote called Eggshells: Unmasking the Pain and Overcoming the Impact of Invisible Scars. It explores the quieter wounds we carry from toxic relationships and how to begin healing from them. Just thought I’d share in case it speaks to where you are.
Are there any other books that have been meaningful on your path lately?

Hello again and nice to connect with you!
We share similar values. I'm the founder of Awakening To Joyful Living and have authored poetry, fiction and non-fiction books on similar themes.

In a confused and suffering world such as ours books like yours, Iris, are needed! I'm glad you're writing so that the journey can become a bit more easy for others with similar experiences.
At this point of my life (I'm turning 70) and after a whole lifetime of deep inner work (and authoring some books as well,) I'm now mostly drawn to beauty and transcendence, primarily in poetry and in fiction. Orbital that I'm reading currently has both qualities... And also to really good stories. Right now I enjoy Saving Fish from Drowning

Hello! It’s truly lovely to connect with a kindred spirit—your work sounds deeply aligned with the path I’m walking. I look forward to learning from your journey and sharing light together.

Hi there
Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt reflection—it’s inspiring to hear how your journey continues to evolve with grace and depth. Wishing you continued joy in the beauty, poetry, and stories that nourish the soul.

I love that you’re now leaning into beauty and transcendence through poetry and fiction. There’s something so nourishing about letting stories and language lift us beyond the noise of the world, especially after doing so much inner work. Saving Fish from Drowning is such an intriguing read, and Orbital sounds equally compelling. Thank you for the inspiration; I may have to add them to my list.
Wishing you continued wonder on your journey, and thank you again for your warmth and encouragement. It’s voices like yours that keep me writing.

Thank you so much Iris, for taking the time to respond with such a heartfelt message. May you enjoy every step of your path, living it and writing it!

Hi there,

My background is actually in engineering, but over the years, I've become deeply fascinated with human potential and the silent questions we all carry inside.
I joined this group to learn from fellow readers and writers — and to connect with people who are also on the journey of growth and transformation. 📘✨
Looking forward to discovering inspiring books and maybe even making a few new friends here. Feel free to reach out or check out my book on Goodreads or Amazon if it resonates with you!
Warm regards,

I’m happy to be here and looking forward to engaging with you all.
My path to literature is perhaps a bit unconventional—I come from a military background and was once preparing for an overseas deployment that would have required a high level of responsibility. That included making decisions with serious ethical weight.
It was during that time that I began asking myself fundamental questions: What does it mean to hold power over life and death? What does responsibility truly mean, beyond command and obedience?
Those questions wouldn’t leave me. What began as doubt deepened into a full existential crisis. Eventually, my career came undone—but in hindsight, that collapse marked the beginning of a more meaningful journey.
I went on to study psychology and philosophy—not to pursue a traditional academic path, but to make sense of what I had experienced. I was rarely “present” in class, but constantly in library.
These days, I’m deeply interested in depth psychology, existential transformation, and what is often referred to as the “dark night of the soul.” For me, literature isn’t just a pastime; it’s a space of resonance for the things we often don’t have words for.
Some of these reflections also find their way into my writing—I'm currently working on texts that explore inner breakdown and transformation.
I’m looking forward to discussing books that don’t just entertain, but truly "move" us.

Im Ayu Rem. I live in a tiny village in Germany—about 600 people, lots of trees, and time that moves slower. Its a good place to think deeply and build strange, beautiful things.
Books that inspired me the most are probably Faust, Steppenwolf, Jung and Ernest Becker. But also all the lucid dreaming books out there enhanced my creativity and depth.
My work lives somewhere between psychology, philosophy, systems theory, and storytelling. I care a lot about how people learn, how they communicate, and how we build shared language across different ways of knowing. I believe in bridging gaps:
between disciplines, between people, between parts of ourselves we are told dont belong together.
Books are one way I do that. Writing, reading, discussing. Im not here just for polished takes-Im here for the half-formed thoughts, the questions that wont sit still, and the kind of conversation that leaves you different after.
Happy to have found this place. Unbelievable that I never thought of social media combined with books :P
Glad to be here
Ayu

I am excited to be here and discover some new inspiration.
I am also an author and have written an inspiring book that I would love to share, called The Realm of Unity —a Utopian Fantasy.
Hoping all are thriving,
Peace,
Marie
