Happy reading folks!

Nicki Steinberger Hey folks. I am brand new to Goodreads :). Thanks for having me in this group. A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle changed my life. My a.m. ritual, affirmations, perspective, and teachings have forever been altered. Until now I didn't fully understand Presence.

Peaceful healing,

Ricardo Reyes | 3 comments HI. I don't know why I didn't say hello earlier. I am a writer and teacher. I am teaching "A Place to Stand" by Jimmy Baca and start doing so tomorrow. I love it. Anyone have any cool inspiring books to mention? I know the writer personally, so if anyone has any questions, let's have them. He's kind of interesting. Baca taught himself to read and write in solitary (after being illiterate all his life) and then got a book deal. People in prison (including its leadership, people said) vowed he would never get out alive. I got to ride around with him in my car for 3 days!

I've added 'Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway' to the bookshelf, as it's the one which has had the most dramatic affect on my life.
I read and write to inspire.
I'm looking forward to finding more inspirational books xx

"Seva (service) is Savior" is a quote from Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, my Guru . The human value of service to others has always brought the greatest joy & fulfillment in my life Looking forward to becoming friends! Have you read Celebrating Silence by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar? It offers 365 pieces of deep wisdom and my copy is dog-eared from reading it as I travel the world.

Mihail Militaru (mihail44) | 1 comments I believe inspiration comes with knowledge and awakening. There are so many books out there, but only some resonates with us while others are meant for a different group of people. I would recommend "The Law of one," and if that resonates with you please reply with other books you may like. Just as a note this book comes with 5 volumes, and you can find more info and download it for free here. https://mihail.blog/2019/02/25/the-ra...

I'm Jake, I've been on Goodreads for just over a year and somehow only now discovering that these brilliant groups exist!

I finished studying economics and finance at University last year so any book business or economics usually catches my eye! But I'm also big into history, politics and any books that I can learn something useful or interesting from!

I'm aiming to read 20 books this year as I only managed 17 last year.

Looking forward to getting involved in the group!

Makayla Campbell Hi everyone! My name is Makayla, I’m 22, almost 23! I’ve been an avid book nerd since I learned how to read in kindergarten! Many books have inspired me through the years. The saying “I have lived a thousand lives” really does ring true with me! I am very passionate about reading. Some of my favorite genres include , but not limited to : YA, fantasy, murder mystery, historical fiction, poetry, and the list can go on and on. Favorite authors off the top of my head include : Edgar Allan Poe, Kate Elliot, Josephine Angelini, John Green, and many more. As I said so many books have inspired me over the years, but the very first that comes to mind was a book my 3rd grade teacher read to the class called “Love, Ruby Lavender.” It’s about a girl who continuously writes letters to her grandmother, and I’ve always been close to my nanny so I believe that is what made it hold such a special place in my heart.

I am very very passionate about reading a book , and discussing the emotions , imagery, inspirations..etc that it gave me with others. And I love to hear others’ opinions and emotions and how they have perceived said books as well. Im excited to join this group and see what inspires each individual here.

Happy reading 📖💕

Be-Loved Collaborators (be-loved_collaborators) | 1 comments Hello. We are a collaboration of writers who have just released our 7th novella of Visionary Fiction along the vein of "spiritual romance novels".

Through these intertwining stories we explore the Soul's journey of the human experience— with all of its complicated and beauty-filled messiness!

Each Writer was unlocked and woken up through the power of the written word and especially stories. This creative endeavor is a great gift we give ourselves as humans.

And so, this inspirational Series is a gift we give back to the World with appreciation and gratitude. We are equally thankful for Reading Groups such as this, who encourage 'anothers' along their sacred Path.

Corey Jones * AKA Master Himala Pahadi (masterhimalapahadi) | 2 comments Hello everyone!

I'm thrilled to join this vibrant Goodreads community! As a passionate advocate for spiritual and philosophical exploration, I find immense joy in connecting with fellow readers who share a love for these amazing genres.

A little about me – I'm the creator of an esoteric/spiritual website, a space where I delve into the mysteries and wonders of the spiritual realm. It's been an incredible journey, one that has also led me to author two upcoming spiritual fiction books that I'm excited to share with you all very soon.

In addition to my writing, I'm a meditation teacher, constantly in awe of the transformative power of mindfulness and inner peace. Meditation has not only enriched my life but also deeply influenced my writing and understanding of the spiritual world.

I'm an avid reader, always on the lookout for books that challenge and expand my perspective. Whether it's ancient wisdom texts or contemporary philosophical musings, I believe every book has something unique to offer.

I'm looking forward to engaging in meaningful discussions, sharing recommendations, and discovering new insights with all of you. Let's embark on this enlightening journey together, exploring the vast and diverse world of spiritual and philosophical literature.

Happy reading!

teZa Lord (tezlord) | 4 comments Hi Kat,
I'm trying to figure out how Goodreads works, and I'm responding to your "do we have anything in common" post. I'm a traveler, like you, although since marrying I've settled more in one spot because the dear hub likes to take "short and sweet" (3-6 months) trips instead of being an ex-pat, as I was, living in the West Indies for a decades. Lots of different islands, boats, having connections with growing and distributing food. Always, I'm a creative. Just released 5th book about all the many adventures. Also, we raised hubby's 3 kids, who are now adults, but I was definitely a "non-breeder" before being seduced to family life.

Is that a good start for our commonality. Oh, my passion is Spirit. I'm a junkie for all things yogic and meditative. Been involved in expanded consciousness since my teens. Now I'm a wize young 76 year old.

I would love to interact with a consciousness-expanding group of readers/writers/practicioners on Goodreads. Know how I could?
In Light,
teZa

Hi teZa,

It is so lovely to connect with you! Sounds like we do have a bit in common with our love for travel, book writing, and family life.

That is so neat that you lived in the West Indies and were able to build connections while growing and distributing food! That also sounds amazing to experience island and boat life, too.

I am also newer to the Goodreads community. I have been enjoying finding new groups to interact in and connect with fellow writers.

I'm Annie. I'm 22 years old and currently on a self-help journey. In short, I've dealt with a lot of childhood trauma and shit in my life, and I'm ready to move in and heal. The journey hasn't been easy and has involved a lot of anger and tears, but I know in the long run it'll make me stronger. I've had an obsession with reading self-help books and find them incredibly inspiring. I'm currently on what I believe to be my third self-help book, which is called 'It's Not Your Fault: Why Childhood Trauma Shapes You and How To Break Free' by Alex Howard. I'm enjoying it throughly

Beth | 1 comments Other than my horses, I did books in my school days (chick lit). I’m not happy with noisy places, so avoid the pubs and clubs: I fell off a horse when I was young and banged my tiny brain quite hard (weeks in the hospital, and I couldn’t remember too about it once they let me out). The doctors don’t know if that has anything to do with it - I just get wrinkly in crowded, noisy places. Even a household party makes my head buzz and me get bothered. I gave the books up once I was full-time on the farm, but now I'm without the TV and the books, good books this time around, are here to stay. Joining Goodreads has added to the pleasure.

message 91: by Jenni (new)

Jenni Rosner | 1 comments Oh, hello there! You've found your way, to a world of wisdom, come and stay.
My name is Jenni, your guide so true, to help you find the magic that is within you.
I’m here to show you, without delay, that your own inner wisdom will lead the way.
A journey we'll take, with passion and care, to transform your life, if you dare.
I spent my life in shadows, hiding away, afraid and unsure, just living each day.
A constant war within my mind, left me exhausted, peace hard to find.
Through therapy, energy work, and books galore, courses and schooling, I explored more.
Still, I felt broken, something was wrong, until I discovered my true inner song.
“No, I’m not broken, there’s nothing to fix! I’m a beautiful blend, a magical mix!”
Now my mission is clear, my purpose in sight, to help others shine their own inner light.
I’m an author, a guide, a healer, you see, certified in massage and Magnetic Mind coachery.
Reiki, chakras, theta healing too, intuitive development, I bring to you.
I love to dance, to sing, to create, meditation, laughter yoga, they’re truly great.
Learning and growing, every single day, helping others find their way.
You’re not broken, there’s no need to fear, success isn’t personal, let’s make that clear.
It’s structural, a journey, always creating, a life you’ll love, no more hesitating.
So come along, let’s start this quest, to find your potential, your very best. With joy and laughter,
let’s begin, to unlock the magic that lies within.

message 92: by Wayne (new)

Wayne Johnson | 1 comments So I began this journey over 14 years ago. Back in 2010 I was inspired to write this book. It was a process but often when inspiration hits, it feels effortless because I am just the instrument for the Author. The crazy thing is that for 14 years I shelved this work. As my journey to deepen my faith progresses, I wanted to truly know the meaning of what Jesus said rather than someone else’s interpretation. This quest changed everything. Bible stories and verses that I have heard, read, and “understood” came to life like never before. “For, although we are in the flesh, we do not battle according to the flesh, for the weapons of our battle are not of flesh but are enormously powerful, capable of destroying fortresses. We destroy arguments and every pretension raising itself against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive in obedience to Christ and we are ready to punish every disobedience, once your obedience is complete.” (2 Cor 10:3-6 )
I began to realize the subtle way Satan uses lies as thoughts and how he tricks us into thinking those thoughts are our thoughts. The fear, the feelings of inadequacy and relevance. I was fighting for all the reasons why I couldn’t do the very thing God was telling me to do. The stronghold that I built around that lie not only locked that lie in, it also locked the truth out. “He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter said in reply, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” Jesus said to him in reply, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 16: 15-18) The rock being that “Jesus is the truth.“ (John 14:6) and that is the rock that his Church is built upon. The promises and principles He established are the keys that will unlock the gates and strongholds, the satanic thoughts we carry and defend. Once opened, His truth will destroy all lies. Thus, “Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”(Matthew 16: 19)
Fourteen years ago I would not have considered my fear-driven hesitations and feelings of inadequacy and relevancy to be satanic. But I was wrong. So here and now in 2024 I strive to faithfully walk in my purpose and publish my first work. “Thus faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.” (Romans 10:17) "And you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free". (John 8:32)
I pray that it blesses you. Nice to meet you all! Wayne Johnson

The book title is: Habits for Jesus: Steps to a Powerful Spiritual Transformation

Tui Allen (tuibird) | 4 comments Hello, I'm the author of two dolphin novels, both in the "visionary and metaphysical" genre.
I am inspired by the sea beings I've been meeting face-to-face during my lifetime of ocean sailing and kayaking.
Both my novels allow humans to live for a while, deep in the sea and deep in the minds of dolphins.
Dolphin Melody by Tui Allen Dolphin Melody is the latest novel, just published this week.

Melody is about a grieving dolphin musician, haunted by humanity's violence, who bonds with a compassionate human. Together, they struggle to bridge the gap between species to heal their worlds and themselves.

Ripple by Tui Allen My previous novel Ripple was successful worldwide and even translated for sale in Europe.
Ripple is the twenty million year old story of how love inspired a female dolphin to an intellectual achievement that changed the universe.

Serhat Demir (serhatdemir1985) | 1 comments Hello everyone,

My name is Serhat Demir, and I’m a writer, human rights activist, and environmental advocate. I’m passionate about exploring deep philosophical and political themes, particularly the concepts of freedom, justice, and collective liberation. My work focuses on the intersection of individual liberty and social responsibility, aiming to challenge existing ideologies and offer new ways of thinking about the world.

I’m the author of the two-book series "From the Microcosm to the Macrocosm: The Quest for Collective Freedom and Truth in Quantum Libertarianism." Through these books, I delve into the relationship between the micro and macro levels of existence, seeking to understand how collective freedom and truth can reshape the systems we live within. The series challenges traditional structures and invites readers to question the status quo in a bold and thought-provoking way.

I’m always looking to engage with others who are passionate about philosophy, politics, and social change, and I’d love to connect with like-minded individuals here. Feel free to reach out if you’re interested in discussing these topics or if you have any thoughts on my work.

Thank you for reading!
