I'm currently reading P.S. Meraux's Flare . It's the final book in the Luminary Series. I like YA paranormal supernatural mystery type stories and this series has definitely held my attention. It's relateable. Its also clean and full of humor which I didn't expect.

‘Nfudu: Skirts, Ties and Taboos’ was a great read! It’s sent in Paris in the 1960’s and it beautifully illustrates the story of a young Nigerian girl navigating her way through the trials and tribulations of life. I think you should definitely give it a read.

"Vera" by Michael Socha Jr. Very good true memoir book about Ukraine girl separated from family and sent to German work camps. Continues through her life with immigration to US, birth of 7 children etc. I recommend this book to anyone interested in history or other people's true stories. I bought it locally but see it is available on Amazon.

Hi Mary, I absolutely understand! Book clubs aren't my thing either. My library has a weekly 'book chat', so people can drop in and discuss whatever they are reading. Everybody is NOT reading the same books. Maybe your library would be willing to provide a space for that sort of group. If not, maybe you could find a few people who'd be interested and you could meet elsewhere. It's a great way to hear about books you may be interested in reading. I hope you can find a way to make that work, or you may find people here who would be interested in an online discussion. Best wishes to you!

I just finished Nfudu - skirts, ties & taboos by Oby Aligwekwe. It is the most amazing piece of fiction I have read in a while. In the past six months, I have read at least 45 books. Wondering how I find the time? Im recently retired and visited my daughter in the state, and with nothing else to do, all I did was read. The book has romance, crime, taboos, culture, history.
